ACADEMIC ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Registration for the 2018-2019 school year will be in the Forum during A or B lunch on the following dates:
Current 8th graders for freshman year             February 5th  (during EHS lunch)
Current 9th graders for sophomore year          February 5th & 6th
Current 10th graders for junior year                 February 8th & 9th
Current 11th graders for senior year                February 12th & 13th

STEM Students: Don't forget to go online and sign up for our next guest speaker pizza lunch. We will be joined by a geologist on February 15th who will talk about the ways geologists are in demand in everything from the drone industry to video game design. See Mrs. Bartlett in the STEM office with any questions.

CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Come and hear your own LHS Jazz Band perform in the Lobby today after school.  Dancing, Foot-Stomping and Clapping are encouraged!!"

The LHS Speech and Debate team is all mismatched today as they prepare to compete tomorrow at the First Annual Never Again tournament at Chatfield High School.  Please wish them a strong performance.  And speech and debate team members, don't forget you have a mandatory team meeting today in the speech room after school.  Please bring  your chrome books so you can register for tomorrow's tournament."

Hey, do you like having fun and dancing in outer space? Then the Galaxy Glow in the Dark Winter Dance on Saturday, Feb. 10th from 8-11 is just for you! Come in a school appropriate costume, dressed to the theme, or dress nicely to have a great night with your friends! There will be great music, games, and prizes for the best dressed and game winners.  Tickets will be on sale during A and B lunches next week, and you can also buy tickets at the door, tickets are $8.00.  Guest forms are due next Thursday, February 8, 2018. And in preparation for the dance and winter assembly, we will have spirit days all week next week. Those days are:
Monday: Sci-fi day
Tuesday: Blackout day
Wednesday: Glitter/sparkle day
Thursday: Twin day
Friday: Class shirts"

Littleton High School Performing Arts is proud to present Disney’s The Little Mermaid. Performances are March 1st-3rd in the Littleton Main Stage Theatre. Thursday & Friday shows are at 7pm and Saturday will have two shows at 1pm & 6pm. Tickets are general admission and are $12 adults/$8 for students. They can be purchased online at lhsperformingarts.net. Get your tickets early as this show is sure to sell out!


It's February and that means Val-O-Grams!!  Find a Student Council member and send a gram to a friend, or a someone you have a crush on or to your special squeeze!  They are only $1 and include a flower with your Gram, to be delivered on Valentine's Day Wed. Feb. 14th!  All proceeds go towards our LHS PROM! 

The Spirit Committee wants you to come out and support Girls Basketball on Friday, Feb. 9th when it is CLUB APPRECIATION NIGHT!!  Anyone here at LHS who is involved in a club--including Student Council kids, can get into the game for only $1 if they don’t have an athletic pass.  Just pick up a special ticket from your club sponsor, Mrs. Gobble or Ms. Prestel.  Included in your admission is a raffle ticket to win some fun LHS gear!  We will also be having games at halftime where you could win a pair of Winter Dance tickets!  Finally, wear your class t-shirt during the day for the Winter Pep Rally, but then put on a Hawaiian Shirt for the game--because it is Hawaiian Night too!!  So, come one come all and have a blast with the Girls basketball team and Club Appreciation Night!!

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Your LPS Hockey team will be in town this weekend, so come out to cheer them on to another victory. The Varsity team will play on Saturday vs Cheyenne Mountain at 6:30 at South Suburban. The JV team will play Cherry Creek tonight at 5:15 and Cheyenne Mountain on Saturday at 4:50, both at the Ice Ranch.

STUDENT RECOGNITION AND CONGRATULATIONS:

Congratulations to all three girls basketball teams who defeated Standley Lake last night!  Our varsity Lions earned a huge win over the Gators led by sophomore Susie Puchino who scored 10 points and played fantastic defense all game!  Senior Katie Puchino who scored 14 points and pulled down 9 rebounds, and Rebekah Sandstrom with 8 points and 12 rebounds. Come out to support our Lions on Saturday as they take on the #2 Evergreen Cougars

Congrats to your Lions Unified Basketball team for their huge 76-64 victory over rival Arapahoe. Alex Vizurraga, Max Warren, Patrick McFarland and Zakrie Phounesavath all had 10 points and Scott Bourg lead the team with five assists and six rebounds. Way to go Lions!

The library will be closed at 3:00 p.m. today, for the “Sources of Strength” training.

Time is running out to pre-order a yearbook!  See the bookkeeper to get your copy secured.  The deadline to pre-order is today.  After that, we will have a limited number for sale at the end of the year, but we always sell out!  The only way to secure your copy is to pre-order asap!  Please see Mrs. Fisher with questions.
