STUDENT RECOGNITION AND CONGRATULATIONS:

Congratulations to your LHS Ultimate Frisbee team, the Biggleton Saucegods, on their hard-fought 10-7 victory over Chatfield yesterday. Shoutouts to Nate “Snoop Gator” Schwarz for his incredible toe touch score and to Reuben “No Fly Zone” Cervantes for winning his sky battles to secure the lead and then to end the game.

CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Seniors, you get a free t-shirt at the end of your year and we want YOU to design it!!  Usually, this shirt has the school colors somehow incorporated as well as your grad year and the senior motto, which is: To Infinity and Beyond!  If you would like to design this shirt, talk to Reganne Fornstrom or Ms. Prestel.  The Due date is April 12th!

The Swim Waiver test will be Wednesday, April 11th at 8:30 a.m. sharp! Sign-up in the Counseling Office, space is limited to the first 30 students

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Attention Volleyballers: There will be a short informational meeting regarding summer volleyball opportunities on Tuesday, April 3 at 2:30 in the North Gym. Open gym will still be held after the meeting."

Paint Recycling Fundraiser benefiting LHS After Prom On Saturday, April 7th from 10am-2pm. Spring clean and safely recycle your old and unused paints! You have received, or you will be receiving a PSAT-10 Student Data Consent Form, in your Language Arts class.  It is important for you to take this form home, read, discuss and sign it with your parents, and then return it to the Counseling Office by Friday. 

Attention Juniors -
You have received, or you will be receiving an SAT School Day Student Data Consent Form, in your Social Studies class.  It is important for you to take this form home, read, discuss and sign it with your parents, and then return it to the Counseling Office by Friday.
 
CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Key Club will meet in room 2620 today at 2:20.  Hope to see you there!

All students interested in being either a Cheerleader or a member our Lionettes Dance team: please see Mr. Enzminger in the main office. Also, there will be a brief meeting in the cafeteria a the beginning of both lunch periods and after school at 2:30 today, (3/22).

LHS will host our second annual "Trade & Tech Fair"  today, March 20th between 10:30 am and 2:30 pm in the North Gym.  If you're beginning to plan for your life after high school, and want to find out more about alternatives to going to college, stop by during your lunch period or an OFF period. You'll have the chance to get information and speak with representatives from a wide variety of non-college options.

STEM Students, don't forget today is our last Guest Speaker lunch in the forum. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

STUDENT RECOGNITION AND CONGRATULATIONS:

Congrats to Both the Boys and Girls Track Teams who defeated Wheat Ridge at the LPS Duals Meet on Saturday. The Boys won a nail-biter 62-59 while the Girls defeated the Farmers 81-6! Great Work by all!

Over the weekend, 8 LHS students traveled to Ft. Collins to compete in the CHSAA State Speech and Debate Tournament.  Ben and Grace Greenly placed 12th in Duo Interp, and Julia Valdez placed 7th in Poetry Interp.  Great season to the entire team, now onto nat quals!"

ACADEMIC ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Attention all Beginning Swim classes, classes will not be in the pool this week. Mr. Chandler’s and Mr. Banfield’s swim classes should dress out with, gym clothes and meet at the pool for further instructions.

Tennis practice is canceled for Monday, 3/19, due to weather.

There will be a short meeting today, the 19th, in the north gym for anyone who is thinking about playing football next year.

For all of you Chipotle lovers out there, and I know there are a lot of you, PTO is hosting a fundraiser at the Chipotle across the street.  Come with friends and enjoy a burrito Tuesday, March 20th from 5-9.  Bring a flyer or mention that you are with LHS, and half of everything you spend will go towards LHS After-Prom.  Tell your friends, tell your parents…just please participate.
