STUDENT BULLETIN

Attention Juniors: This Wednesday for Seminar you will go to either the Theater or the Forum. Please check the lists posted outside of the counseling office or the front lobby to find your location.

All students -- please mark your calendars with this change. We will have an extended Seminar on Wednesday, February 12th. The bell schedule will be posted when we get closer.

Don’t forget LHS! The Winter Dance will be this Friday, February 7th from 8:00 -11:00 pm in the South Gym. Tickets go on sale today in the front lobby during both lunches each day as well as before and after school on Thursday and Friday. Tickets are $8 pre-sale or $10 at the door. Students must bring a school ID to the dance. Guest forms are also available in Student Services and must be handed in by Thursday, February 6th.

Today, we will kick off spirit week with Hippie Day, tomorrow will be Twin Day, Wednesday will be We Wear Pink, Thursday will be Bikers and Class Shirt Day on Friday. Students are welcome to dress in theme attire or in semi-formal wear; all must be dress code appropriate.


CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Student Council members: The General Council meeting for tomorrow has been cancelled.

Boy’s Ultimate Frisbee will be having a call out meeting today after school in room 1311 for information regarding the spring season. Players of all skill and abilities are encouraged to attend.

Littleton Dandelions Ultimate team needs girls! Meet today in the North Gym for throwing practice or in the Verbos’ art room at 4:15 pm for creative fun. First practice is February 24th.

MOCK TRIAL meets today after school in Room 2608.

FCCLA/Culinary Club will be having a Pre-Valentine Party this Thursday after school in room 1972. Please bring a yummy homemade treat to share.

Our speech and debate team competed on Friday and Saturday at the Avenger's themed Thor's Hammer Challenge at Discovery Canyon High School. Leading the way for the team were Nick Hopper placing 3rd in Lincoln Douglas debate, and Maddie Engemen placing 4th in informative speaking. Thanos was defeated, the universe is safe, and the team did a great job overall


SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Congratulations to wrestlers Karsten Beich, Nicklaus DeShon, and Haidan Marchetti-Williams for winning the League Championship last Friday and to Elias Garcia, Nolan Kueny, and Emerson Smith for placing second at the League Championship. Additionally, congratulations to Karsten Beich and Issak Hosford for taking first place at the Gilpin Invitational on Saturday. If you see a wrestler wish them the best at the Regional Wrestling Tournament happening on February 14th and 15th to qualify for State.

Your LPS Hockey team rounded off the weekend with a loss to East and a win over Kent. The team remains first in their division and fourth in the state. This weekend they play a big game against Cherry Creek on Friday night at 7:50 pm at Family Sports and Saturday at home against Chatfield at 6:30pm.

Attention all junior and senior boys: Want to dance with the LHS Lionettes at the winter dance assembly? Join Boy Poms! We will have practices to learn a fun and easy dance tomorrow and this Thursday from 4-5 PM in the cafeteria. All participants must be at both practices and have a current physical on file to perform at the assembly on February 7th. Snacks will be provided at practices. Let a Lionette team member know if you are interested. See you there!
