Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to the following Visual Arts students who won awards at the National Scholastic Art Awards: Hanna Le, Samuel Mendez, Annie Brewster, Caroline Brewer, Cullen MacDowell, and Claire Seelenfreund.

Congrats to the Senior guys who won the Dodge Ball competition!! The girls and guys are now EVEN--so look and listen for more senior events!!

Congratulations to our Lion wrestling team for winning two matches yesterday against the Chaparral Wolverines! Way to go LIONS!!

Attention Juniors! Mandatory Junior Advisement and registration for classes for next year will take place for last names beginning with letters A-L on Wednesday, February 1st, between 7:20 and 8:51. Sorry...No sleeping in on THIS late start Wednesday for you! And for juniors whose last names begin with letters M-Z, your turn is coming up on the next late start Wednesday, February 15th. Remember, these sessions are required in order for you to register for classes for next year.

Attention Senior Girls--don’t forget to pick up your SWAG shirts in the main lobby this morning from 7-8:15am. Bring your money with you. They are going fast, so make sure you get yours!!

Attention all Student Council members!! We have a super important General Council meeting on Monday Jan. 30th! We have not met for an ENTIRE month, so we have lots to talk about--please, please make sure you mark your calendars so you can come to this meeting! Forum-2:20.

Sports Announcements:

Our Lady Fish Divers will compete in the B League Diving competition today at 4:00pm in our LHS pool – It’s FREE, so come out and support our divers! Go LIONS!

Tomorrow our Lion wrestling team will compete in a tournament at Douglas County HS in Castle Rock – Hope to see you there!

Special Events:

Winter Pep Assembly will be held this morning at 8:50am in the North gym – If you still need a Class T-shirts, they will be available Friday morning in the front lobby until 8:15am. They are $5 unless you have already paid for them and then your name will be on a list. Show your school spirit!!

Our Winter Dance, "A Day at the Beach!" will be held tomorrow night from 8-11 pm. Remember the dress code! Tickets are $8 and you need to bring your ticket to the dance!! Tickets will be sold during lunches today and at the door the tomorrow night for the same price. If you have already purchased a ticket, please enter through the cafeteria doors. And remember, when you get your wristband, it is not for re-entry, but for recognition of appropriate behavior at the dance. If you are dancing or acting inappropriately, we cut your wristband off and ask you to leave.

Manwich will be there…. Will you? Februaryfest Booster Bash is around the corner, and we’ll be entertained by Littleton High School’s own a cappella group during the evening. A delicious dinner, fun Littleton parents and staff and some “priceless” live auction items will make this an evening you don’t want to miss! Reserve your spot… send your check (to LHS) for $25 per person made out to LHS Booster Club, attn: Februaryfest. More information can be found on the LHS website. RSVP by February 3rd. Questions? The Littleton wrestling did well last night against Regis and Castle View winning four out of seven matches for the evening. Way to go LIONS!

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity basketball team (62-58), to the Girls C team and Boys Varsity basketball teams for their wins over Ponderosa Mustangs last night - Way to go LIONS!

The LHS Lady Lionfish dropped a close decision to Mountain Vista yesterday, 99-87. The Lady Fish JV beat Mountain Vista, 121-50.

The Littleton High School Girls Varsity soccer team has received the National Soccer Coaches Association of America ”Team Academic Award" for the 2011 spring season. They are one of only five schools in Colorado to receive this honor. This is the 13th straight year that head coach Terry Banfield's teams have received this award. Congratulations!

The Littleton High wrestling team did well at Mountain Vista last weekend. Sal Gonzales took 2nd, James McNally took 3rd and Kieran Britt took 3rd.

What an amazing game last night. The Unified basketball team defeated one their key rivals last night, beating Arapahoe in a great contest - 74-72. Way to go LIONS!
