Student Recognition & Congratulations:


Congratulations to Elsie Mangum for her 5th place finish in discus, Max Chandler’s 10th place finish in the pole vault and Jack Robb’s 10th place finish in the 400 meter dash at the state track meet yesterday.  Good luck to Rosa Hardason who will go to finals in the 400 meter dash.  Way to go Lions!

Sport Announcements:

Congratulations to the following swimmers and diver who have qualified for the state meet.   Good Luck to Phil Mathys, Ryan McCracken, Will Patton, Josh Tinucci, Josh VanKooten and Braydin Mehnert.  They will travel to Grand Junction today.    Go Lions!

Special Events:

Today is our Senior Assembly, the day the school says GOODBYE to our seniors.  All the classes are dismissed to the North Gym at 1:30 to cheer with the seniors one last time and say a huge goodbye.  After the seniors leave the gym, the other classes get to "graduate" to their new seats in the gym. Don’t miss this great assembly; and afterwards, head out to Spring Fling!!

STUDENT COUNCIL is throwing a party just for YOU!  Head down to the grass soccer fields after the senior assembly and get ready to have a BLAST at Spring Fling!  There will be FREE food, drinks, games and fun, fun, fun!!  Make sure you bring all your homework for your finals and your backpacks because you WILL NOT be able to get back into the school once Spring Flings starts.  The doors will be locked at 3:00pm with no re-entry!!  The fun lasts until 4:15, so bring your friends, bring yearbooks to sign, and TSA is going to sell Dairy Queen delights for only $3.50--so bring your money!

Students: Today is the last day to claim any items you may have in the lost and found bin.  The lost and found bin is located in the library and is full. Items left in lost and found will be given to the Lion's cupboard or other charitable organizations.

From the Library –All undergrad students, your Library materials are due today.  Avoid the fines and return your books today!

Hey seniors - your senior shirts are here!!  Meet Ms. Prestel in the senior hall after school today to pick up your shirt--then wear it all day on Friday!   If you can't make in on Thursday, they will also be available at the breakfast Friday morning.  They are FREE!  Also, don’t forget that the breakfast is the only time you can pick up your caps and gowns!!

Attention all cross country runners important pre-season meeting today at 2:30 in Room 133E. Important information regarding summer training and end of summer trip. Questions see Coach Brooks.

Open gyms for girls basketball continues tonight from 6:00-8:00pm.  All girls planning to tryout next season are encouraged to attend!  See you there!

Student Recognition & Congratulations:


Congratulations to the LHS Improvables for winning the 2013 LPS Improv Comedy Showdown at Heritage High School on May 9!  The Improvables competed against Arapahoe and Heritage High Schools, performing in various comedy improv scenarios, with judges awarding points for each skit.  It was a fun and entertaining evening and the Improvables brought home a big trophy to show for their efforts.  The Improvables include: Ryan Dinneen, Virginia Farley, Forrest Glebe, Daniel Jones, Jackson Schwartz, and Liam Sonke.  Plan to join the Improvables for their final show of the school year, on Thursday, May 23, at 7pm, in the LHS Mane Stage Theatre.

Congratulations to the Littleton High School Performing Arts Department!  On May 9th, the musical "Legally Blonde" was nominated by the Bobby G Awards, "The Tony's for High School Musicals", sponsored by Denver Center of Performing Arts.  The musical "Legally Blonde" was been nominated for 10 awards in 9 categories!  Way to go LIONS!

Congratulations to the follow track and field athletes for qualifying for the state meet this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the Jeffco Stadium: Rosa Hardarson, Emily Burch, Elizabeth Rothrock, Sarrelle Schueltsis, Victoria Dinkle, Elsie Magnum, Jack Robb, Jake Bergman, Max Chandler, Casey Thomson, Barry Visser, D'angelo Dinero, and Tre Blake.

Congratulations to Lion Ultimate for a strong showing at state this weekend. The open team finished 10th and the X Chromosomes girls' team finished 6th.  Way to go Lion Ultimate!

Congratulations to Lanie Sumlin, Philip Mathys, Casey Thomson-Comstock, and Rosa Hardarson for being named Littleton High School Athletes of the Month for the month of April.  Way to go Lions!!

Sport Announcements:

Attention all track athletes NOT participating in the state meet. Uniform check in is today after school starting at 2pm in the weight room.  Fines will go out if you do not turn your uniform in today.

Cheer tryouts will be Monday, May 13th- Friday, May 17th from 4-6:30 in the south gym. You must have a current physical to try-out! Stop by the athletic office with questions.
