Student Recognition and Congratulations:

The JV boys soccer team shut out Ponderosa 4 to 0 yesterday. Sebastian Garnica led the way with two goals.

Sports Announcements:

Cheer Tryouts are Friday from 4:30-6PM and Saturday 11AM-4PM in the South Gym. A physical is required. If you are in a fall sport, but would like to cheer in the Winter, please contact Coach Atkins.

Want to join a club here at LHS, but are JUST not sure which one to join?  Student Council is here to help you!  Tomorrow during both lunches, Student Council is sponsoring an Ice Cream Club Social. Just head over to the tables in the cafeteria and look at the many, many different clubs we have to offer here at LHS, sign up for one and you will get a voucher for free ice cream to pick up after school!  It's a great way to get involved in your high school and get a yummy Friday afternoon treat!

NHS members, please remember that you have your first meeting of the year in the Forum on Tuesday, 9/6 right after school.  See you there!

Have your voice heard - come to the first Political Committee meeting on Tuesday at 2:20pm in room 2607.  Everyone is welcome!!

If you enjoy gardening, food, nature, and community service, come learn about the Littleton High School PEAS club, a greenhouse based gardening club! We have our first informational meeting on Tuesday September 6 at 2:30 in room 1324.

Students interested in Speech and Debate are invited to an informational meeting on Friday, September 9th after school in the forum.  All new and returning team members should attend.  We will go over our upcoming season, team expectations and events, and how you can be a part of this team.  This is a great way to meet new people, a great event, and a great way to build and showcase your talents.  See Mr. Saliman if you have questions.

Academic Announcements:

Students –If you do not have a computer at home, we have free desktop computers for you!  Since starting this program at Littleton High School we have helped over two hundred students receive a free home computer.  If you are in need of a computer or need help with discount internet service then please stop by and see Mr. Hahn in the counseling office.

All students - if you would like to order a class ring, you can pick-up a Josten order form from Student Services.  Jostens will be in the Senior Hallway on September 8th and 9th during both lunches to collect graduation and class ring orders.

Attention Seniors:  Please remember that if you are submitting a senior photo from an outside photographer, the deadline is TODAY.  If we do not have a photo from you by Friday, we will schedule a time for you to take your photo with the school photographer on September 15 or 16.  We want every senior to have a picture in the yearbook so we offer this to you free of charge.

Important Reminders:

Free and Reduced Meal Applications need to be returned to LHS Kitchen Food Service as soon as possible.  Please see the LPS district website for more details or to complete an application online.

Don't miss the introductory session which begins right at 6:00 pm...you'll find it helpful and stress relieving!

Oct. 4th in The Forum.  Seniors who need to write a personal statement or essay for at least one of your college applications will not want to miss this.  Mr. Stedron provides straightforward direction for attacking this often difficult, intimidating piece of writing.  See you there!

Congratulation Varsity Boys Soccer - last night they defeated Dakota Ridge 4-0!

Congratulation Boys Tennis on a great start to their season with a 7-0 victory over Ralston Valley on Tuesday. Great work!

CONGRATULATIONS to the new Class of 2020 Student Council Officers!  President-Makayla Franklin, Vice President-Salem Scobee and Public Relations Officer-Ellie Fuchs.  Nice job to everyone who gave speeches yesterday, you were great!

Student Recognition and Congratulations:

The JV boys soccer team scored early and often in a 7 to 0 victory over Dakota Ridge. Brandon Tellez scored a hat trick in the first 15 minutes to lead all scorers.

Special Events:

Varsity Boys Soccer game vs Dakota Ridge has been rescheduled for TONIGHT at 6:00pm in the Littleton Public School Stadium.

Celebration BBQ and Concert - On Wednesday the Performing Arts Department will kick-off the 2016-17 season with a BBQ from 5-6:30 p.m., an outdoor performance by the Marching Band & Colorguard at 6:40 p.m. and a concert at 7 p.m.  Tickets for the BBQ are available from Mr. Farrell.

STUDENT BULLETIN

Student Recognition and Congratulations:

Congratulations to your "Lion Pride" Marching Band for their performance at the Colorado State Fair Parade competition this past Saturday.  The "Lion Pride" Band placed 2nd in the 4A Division and 3rd Overall among 18 competing bands on Saturday.  Go Band!!

The Littleton/Heritage Varsity Softball team won its home opener 10-7 Friday in a non-conference game against the Rampart Rams.  MaryAnn Quintana pitched for the win and went 3 for 4 at the plate. Jaiden Kleiner hit 2 doubles.  Next game is Tuesday against rival Arapahoe at 7pm at Bowles Grove Park. plan to come out and cheer them on.

Academic Announcements:

Lockheed Martin Tutoring for students who need help in Math and Science will start Wednesday evening.  This is a free service to LHS students provided by Lockheed Martin Engineers.  Tutoring will be available every Wednesday and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 1740.

All girls and guys are welcome to join Ultimate Frisbee Club...the club that is also a sport! Our first practice is TODAY on the grass practice fields at 2:30. We’ll play ‘til 4:30 and practice on Wednesdays and Thursdays, as well. Ultimate Frisbee is a no-cut sport and games start in September! Come out to meet new friends, get fit and have FUN!!

Littleton High School is pleased to announce that we will once again offer a series of FREE engineering workshops which will be held on 10 Saturday mornings here at LHS this fall and next spring.  Instructors come from a wide variety of engineering fields, from corporations, government and institutions.  The workshops are super informative and FUN!  Please see LHS website for Shade of Blue workshop dates and the link to sign-up for the program.  Space is limited, don’t miss out.
