SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

The varsity soccer team defeated South High School 1 to 0 yesterday to remain unbeaten. The goal was scored by Evan Montgomery.

The JV soccer team managed a 1 to 1 tie against South.

Your Littleton Lions Ultimate mixed team handily defeated CAC 13-3 yesterday! Wish them luck as they take on Colorado Academy next week with hopes of keeping up their undefeated record!

 CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Do you like creative writing? Do you like to write poetry, short stories, plays and more? Then join Inspirlions, LHS's creative writing club! We will have our first meeting this coming Monday, September 11 in room 1745. See you then!

Choir Department Garage Sale – Saturday, September 9th, 8 am – 2 pm in the west parking lot! Bring your donations to the Theatre lobby today or Friday before or after school. We will also accept donations on Saturday. All profits from the garage sale go to help pay for Syrens & Troubadours outfits.

Homecoming Royalty Nominations are being taken during lunches today outside the cafeteria!  Come and nominate your friends for the Homecoming Royalty Court! This is for classes 9-12!

DISCO HOMECOMING STARTS NEXT WEEK, and here are your Dress Up Days:  Monday is Tie Dye Day, Tues is Neon Day, Wednesday is Concert Band T-shirt Day, Thurs is Disco Ball Sparkly Day and Friday is Class T-shirt Day!!  GET in the spirit and have some fun dressing up....who knows, you might just win a prize!!  2 gift cards a day will be given out to the students with the BEST SPIRIT DAY outfit!

HOMECOMING WEEK FUN starts off with Lip Sync Fun in the cafeteria on Monday 11th during lunches!  Then on Tuesday after school come out with your friends and play some DODGE BALL!!  We will be in North Gym, so even if you dont have a team to play on, come on down and watch from the stands!

And more fun with Homecoming is the annual BONFIRE!! Wednesday is the day, stadium parking lot is the place and 7pm is the time!  The girls will play some Powder Puff football down on the grass fields from 2:45-3:30, so come and cheer them on, then come back for some more spirit at the Bonfire! We will have some free food, games, and of course the fire.  See you there!

If you have questions about eligibility, the application, or our chapter of NHS, please join us for one of several informational meetings to be held in the forum next week (Monday 9/11 both A and B lunches, and Wednesday 9/13 after school).

Attention any SENIORS who picked up their class t-shirts on WED, there was a blending of last year and this year's shirts, so if you received one that says Class of 2017, please return it and get a Class of 2018 shirt!!  AGAIN, look at the shirt you picked up and make sure it says Class of 2018!! Return it if it doesn't.

Attention current NHS members! We have our September meeting this Monday, Sept. 11th after school in the forum. See you then!

All students interested in joining speech and debate this year, we have an informational meeting in the forum this Friday, immediately after school.  This meeting is for all new and returning members."

A reminder to our student-leaders who have been nominated to serve on our LHS Captain/President Council: We will be hosting our first Captain/President Council meeting TODAY, 9/6, at 7:20 am in the cafeteria. A light breakfast will be served. See Mr. Amonson or Mr. Enzminger if you have questions.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Josten's will be here Thurs and Fri. September 7th and 8th in the cafeteria hall from 10:30 am to 12:45 pm to take orders for caps and gowns and class rings.

Homecoming is only 2 weeks away!!  In order to get in the school spirit, pick up your class t-shirts starting today Sept. 6 at the concession stand down by the gyms...they will be available during both lunches.  IF you have paid, your name will be on a list, if you have not paid, you can bring $5 to pay for your shirt!  They will be available until Friday Sept. 15th...but don’t wait, get yours early!

This year's Homecoming Week is Sept. 11-16th, and we have a TON of fun events for you to participate in!!  Sign up for Dodge-Ball-happening Tuesday 12th, Girls Powder Puff football on Wednesday 13th, and Guys Volleyball happens on Thursday 14th.  All the sign-up sheets will be on the Class Bulletin Boards in the Language Arts hallway.  Get in SPIRIT!

Homecoming guest forms are available at Student Services and the Main office. They are due September 14, 2017

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

The LHS cross country team has had another great meet! At last Friday's Arapahoe Warriors Invitational, runners of all grades represented LHS well. Senior Addi Iken pulled out another astonishing time, scoring 2nd overall in a fantastic race to the finish. Great job Addi! Good luck to the cross country team this Friday at Heritage's Liberty Bell Invitational!

Open gyms for girls basketball begin tonight from 7:00-8:30 and all players considering trying out this November are encouraged to attend each Tuesday night.  Come work on skills and meet the coaching staff and players.  Looking forward to another fantastic season of Lions basketball!"
