Now is the time to triple check your deadlines and to be sure you're requesting transcripts and teacher letters of recommendation if your schools require them. A reminder to check your raffle ticket from your Halloween O'Gram to see if you have the winning number! It is 524760. Again, it's 524760. If you have the winning ticket, stop by the attendance office to pick up your gift card!

CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Please wish the members of our Speech and Debate team “good luck” as they start their season tomorrow at the Cherry Creek Classic. All members of the team have a meeting in the speech room today after school. Go, Lions!

Sources of Strength Peer Leaders and Adult Advisors will meet next Tuesday, November 6th, at 7:45 am in Room 1219 to plan our next campaign.

The Model United Nations Club will meet in Room 2609 next Tuesday morning between 7:45 and 8:15 am. All interested students are welcome!

Preseason Camp for Girls Basketball begins on Monday and continues through Thursday from 4:00 - 6:00 pm each day. Come sharpen your skills, get some runs in, and get set for tryouts on the 12th and 13th. This is a great year to tryout for the Girls Basketball program, and we hope to see you on Monday!

All hockey players who are interested in trying out for the LPS CHSAA Ice Hockey team - it is time to register! The LPS hockey program is a combined team with players from Arapahoe, Heritage, Littleton, and Options. Please go to heritageeagleshockey.com to register. Tryouts will be held on Monday, 11/12, and Tuesday, 11/13, from 3:55- 5:00 pm at South Suburban Ice Rink.

Today is the Costume Contest! The categories are Scariest, Best Group Halloween Costume, and Most Creative. Stop by the cafeteria to get your picture taken for a chance to win!

Halloween O'Grams will be delivered today during periods 3 and 5. These grams also include a raffle ticket! Tomorrow night at the home football game, there will be a drawing for a gift card at halftime. Be sure to bring your raffle ticket and attend the football game for a chance to win!

Littleton High School Girls’ Varsity Soccer Team has received two awards from United Soccer Coaches (formerly the NSCAA) for the 2017-2018 academic year. The Team Academic Award is awarded to teams with a composite grade point average of at least 3.25. Littleton is one of only seven schools in Colorado to receive this honor. Their combined GPA was 4.16!

This is the 20th straight year that the Littleton High School Girls’ Soccer program has received this award — a streak that leads the nation and which started before any of the Lions’ current players were born!

The second award is the “Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award” which recognizes teams that exhibit fair play, sporting behavior, and adherence to the laws of the game. Littleton received the Gold Award. Congratulations, Lions!

Congratulations again to all the students and staff who participated in the Littleton Stride on Sunday. Because of your efforts, we had the greatest high school participation, and we received $1,000 for our school from the Littleton Foundation. Go, Lions!

Students, again, the purple fire doors around the building will be locked at 4:00 pm daily for security reasons. The only way to get to the gyms after 4:00 pm will be to go around to the Athletics Entrance. Halls and classrooms past the main lobby will be inaccessible. Thank you for your understanding!

Hey, Lady LionFish! There will be a pre-season swim practice today from 3:45 - 5:00 pm. This Thursday will be suit sizing at 3:45 pm with a pre-season swim to follow until 5:00. See you at the pool!

Reminder: The deadline to submit the Concurrent Enrollment Paperwork is tomorrow! Students must return the completed packet to Mr. Puchino in the Counseling Office.

There is a College Fair here at LHS tonight from 6:00-7:00 pm in the cafeteria. Juniors and Seniors are invited and encouraged to attend. See the list of the 51 schools attending on the easel outside the Counseling office. All of Colorado's colleges and universities will be represented!

The Lip Sync battle is today in the cafeteria during A and B lunches. Tomorrow is the Pumpkin Carving Contest after school in the cafeteria! Gather your friends, and carve a pumpkin. The Model UN Club will have a meeting tomorrow morning at 7:45 am in Room 2609. Any students interested in and/or planning to go to the NY National HS MUN Conference in March need to attend. Additionally, sign-ups for the Legend/Cherokee Trail MUN on November 10th will be discussed. Look forward to seeing you there!

What a day your Lions Cross Country team had this past Saturday at the State Cross Country Meet in Colorado Springs! Both the boys and girls squads rose to the occasion and represented the school well. Congratulations to Seniors Christian Sapakoff, Christian Olsen, Henry Jackson and Rachel Tobler; Juniors Donny Marshall, Hailey Lockhart and Grace Greenly; Sophomores Cooper Brown, Matthew Sapakoff and Eva deThomas, and Freshmen Grady Redding, Grace Valentine, Lane Greenly and Morgan Kelly on their terrific races! And thanks to Senior Colin McCormick and Junior Olivia Landers for ably serving as the alternates. The team couldn’t have done it without you! It was an amazing season!

Congratulations to Senior Alex Dran for coming in second place during the Unified race at the State Cross Country Meet this past weekend! Alex has been a valuable member of the cross country team for four years now. For him to race at the State Meet and perform so well is a testament to his hard work throughout his time as a Littleton Lion! Way to go, Alex!
