Academic Announcements
All students who paid to take an AP test this year must attend a Pre-Administration meeting on one of the following days and times. The meetings will be held April 27th, 28th and 29th before and after school starting at 6:30 and 2:15 in the forum.

Attention former and current ESL students! Summer school at Arapahoe Community College is just around the corner. It’s a great opportunity to sharpen your skills or make up lost credits toward graduation. Scholarships are available, too! If you are interested in attending, see your counselor right away to discuss your options and get an application.


Special Events
Prom tickets are on sale now for $30.00. After prom tickets are $10, but will be $15 at the door. You may purchase at the main office today during lunches and after school. LHS Seniors are free and you do not need a ticket. All students must have student ID to enter the Prom. See you at the DAM tomorrow night.


Sports
Congratulations to the girl’s tennis team for their 4-3 victory over Highlands Ranch. Contributing to the victory were: Margo Moss, Katie Pearson, Anna Stehle, Nicole Anderson and Jamie Wollum.

Club Announcements
Congratulations to the FBLA members who attended and competed at the State Conference on Monday and Tuesday! Littleton High School FBLA had 3 of our 5 events place in the top 10. Congratulations to James Avery – 9th place in Spreadsheet Applications, Quincey Kippley and Kristin Stefanatz – 8th place in Partnership with Business, and Jia Chu – 3rd place in Business Math. Jia’s 3rd place finish has qualified him to compete this summer at the National FBLA Conference in Anaheim, CA. LHS – FBLA you are awesome!


The Peace Jam club is celebrating Earth Day today —so head to the cafeteria and do some fishing for prizes—yes we said “fishing!” You will get a chance for 50 cents to fish for DECA coupons, LHS attire, Earth Day candy or Starbucks coupons! There will also be some hints in the main lobby on how to be GREEN for the rest of the week! So, come and celebrate our EARTH!

Prom tickets are on sale now for $30.00. After prom tickets are $10, but will be $15 at the door. You may purchase them with the bookkeeper, before or after school and during lunch only. Tomorrow you may purchase your tickets for prom and after prom in the main office. LHS Seniors are free and you do not need a ticket. All students must have student ID to enter the Prom. See you at the DAM on Saturday, April 25th.

Prom guest forms are due today by noon! No exceptions!

Hey hey hey—Earth Day is coming—in fact it is TODAY!! The Peace Jam club is going to celebrate Earth Day on Thursday though—so head to the cafeteria and do some fishing for prizes—yes we said “fishing!” You will get a chance for 50 cents to fish for DECA coupons, LHS attire, Earth Day candy or Starbucks coupons! There will also be some hints in the main lobby on how to be GREEN for the rest of the week! So, come and celebrate our EARTH!

All student interested in PSEO – CO enrollment with college while in High School – Dead line extended!!!!!! The deadline has been extended to April 27th at 3:00pm!!!! That gives you an extra week to fill out your application and see Ms. Geyer or your counselor. Take advantage of a great opportunity!!!!

Academic Announcements
The 2009-2010 yearbook staff has a meeting today after school in room 140.

ACT testing for juniors is coming. This Wednesday, April 22nd, juniors need to be here at regular school time for ACT testing. Classes start at 11:15 that day for freshmen, sophomores and seniors. The day will be an odd day.

SENIORS>>>
The First Bank of Littleton Scholarship application is available in the Post Grad Center. This scholarship requires a 3.0 gpa and you must be attending a Colorado institution. Financial need will be considered. One LHS Senior will receive $1250.00 and deadline for submission is May 11th. See Mrs. Allen for more information.

Sports
Congratulations to the LHS lion’s varsity baseball team for their victory over league rival Rangeview on Wednesday. The team recorded the tough fought win by a score of 9-7. The 8-5 lions were led offensively by Isiah Cole who went 3 for 3 at the plate, hitting a single double and a 2 run homerun in the 3rd inning. Jake Brantley also went 2 for 4 hitting a 2 run homerun in the 6th inning. Kevin Farley tallied the win on the mound pitching 6 innings with 3 strikeouts. Kevin Holland got the save for the lions. David Brewster turned in a very solid defensive outing behind the plate.
