Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congrats to the LHS Speech and Debate team who finished 3rd out of 32 teams at Saturday's Creek/East meet. Noteworthy performances were turned in by Tres Pittman and Daniel Thomas, who took 2nd in Policy Debate, Ben Fisk and Melissa Timmermeyer, 4th in Improv Pairs, and Reine Ibala, who advanced in LD Debate.

Club Announcements:

The Peace Jam Club will meet today in room 206 between 2:20 and 2:45. Information on the Kenya Service and Study Trip will be available. We hope to see you there!

Speech and Debate team members: sign up in 151 BY WEDNESDAY for December tournaments-- OR YOU WILL NOT BE COMPETING!!!

Do you want to help plan a fun and stress-relieving holiday event for December? Come to a joint Balance and GSA meeting on Wed. in the art room after school. Do something positive for LHS!

FBLA members: don’t forget to turn in permission slips for Stock Market Challenge to Mrs. Martin’s office before Friday. The bus for the challenge will leave from the cafeteria entrance at 10:30 am on Friday, November 19, 2010. Don’t be late or you will be left!

Academic Announcements:

A reminder for all students who have signed up for the SWIM TEST: You need to be in the pool ready to swim at 2:30. Please bring a photo ID with you. There are still spaces available for the test on Wed., Nov. 17, signup in the Counseling Office.

-4th Block (Theater): "Water For People" presentation about their sustainable
clean water programs operating in Africa, South America and throughout the
developing world, and their summer work and study program for high school
students to travel to Guatemala with this organization.

Mark your Calendar for the LHS Study Abroad Fair — November 18th!
As part of our International Education Week celebration, history teacher James Gordon will host LHS' first International Week Study Abroad Fair. This event will take place on November 18th from 6pm - 8 pm in the cafeteria. You will have the opportunity to visit with a host of international study and service organizations that will share information and promotional material about their programs. People to People, Bold Leaders, and ASSE (International Student Exchange Programs), to name a few. In addition, LHS faculty such as History teacher James Gordon and Spanish teacher Matt Marshall and students who have ventured abroad to Kenya and Costa Rica will share their international study, service, work and travel experiences.

Looking for a festive way to kick off the holiday season? Join Littleton FBLA and Solid Grounds Coffee House downtown Littleton on Friday, November 26, 2010 from 5 pm to 7 pm for the Candlelight Walk. Be there to welcome Santa and see the holiday lights! Stop by the Colorado Business Bank and get some FREE, hot chocolate. Littleton FBLA will be collecting cash donations to benefit the Arapahoe Santa Claus Shop. This is a great family event…don’t miss it!

For students needing help in Math & Science Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 107. Please use the forum entrance.
