Student Recognition & Congratulations:

The Lions Football Team nailed a stunning victory Saturday afternoon at All City stadium against John F Kennedy High School, with a score of 42-24.  The Lions swept Kennedy at all levels this year.  Come out and watch the last Varsity home game this Friday, as the Lions take on the Dakota Ridge Eagles.

Congratulations to the Varsity Volleyball Team who concluded their season with a 3rd place finish as they hosted the 2012 Littleton Varsity Volleyball Tournament last Saturday! The entire varsity team contributed to the wins! The girls wrapped up their season with two final match wins against Poudre and Overland High School. The Poudre match was a come-from-behind victory when the Lions were down in the fifth set 8-13; LHS came back to capture the win with the serving of Sophomore, Laura Puchino to win 15-13.  Junior, Tasha Habert was our top point scorer, top blockers were Senior, Sarah Gerken; Sophomore, Natalie Sandstrom. The Lions defensive play was led by setter, Sela Tharan, and defensive specialist, Samii Wong. Congratulation ladies for a great finish!

Congratulations to the girls cross country team for their 21st place finish at the State Cross Country meet this past Saturday! The girls were lead by Magda van Leeuwan and Kelly Dinneen. We are proud of you ladies for a fantastic end to a great season!

Congratulations to all the students, families and faculty who participated in the Stride on Sunday.  Through your efforts we had the greatest high school participation and we received $1,000 for our school from the Littleton Foundation.  Great job everyone!!

Hello LHS families! Last year PTO organized an upgrade to the library, filling the two empty planters with silk plants. The plants have given the library a whole new look. It’s a wonderful improvement! This year, we will be tackling the planters in the cafeteria. We can use your help! If you have any silk plants (green plants only, please) that you are no longer using, we can put those to use in the cafeteria. PTO will begin collecting plants, and when we have enough, we will start “planting” new displays. If you have anything you would like to donate, please bring them to school (leave them with Therese Mashak) or email Wendy Burbage  (wlb1963@msn.com). Thank you in advance for helping us beautify our school!
