Academic Announcements:


The Post Grad Center would like to remind seniors that if they have a December 1st college deadline, they will need to request their teacher letters of recommendation, if they need them, and their transcripts, and then pay $5 for each transcript with the Registrar or in Post Grad by this coming Monday, Nov. 12 to insure that they will arrive to the colleges on time.

Tonight and tomorrow Lion’s Follies hit the main stage at 7:00pm.  You can purchase your tickets in the CAFETERIA and BOX OFFICE at lunch and after school.  For your parents, tickets are being sold ONLINE.  See the LHS home page for the link.  So, for ONLY $5, you'll get to see a plethora of follies: poetry, music, dance, and LOTS of comedy.  See you there! 

International Education Week is coming to LHS November 12-16. This year’s theme is International Education: Striving for a healthier future worldwide. A schedule of events is posted outside the Library entrance, and events for the day will be read on the daily announcements. Enjoy the events you may attend with your classes and feel welcome to attend events during your off hours.

Have you ever dreamed of traveling and studying abroad? Next Wednesday, November 14th between 6 and 8 pm in the Cafeteria there will be a Study Abroad Program fair with representatives from a variety of programs that offer international study, service, and travel opportunities for high school students.

Students, please be respectful of our neighbors and leave space between vehicles when parking on the street; please do not pull up to or back up to someone’s bumper.  That person will need room to maneuver out of their space. Thank you.

Blog Announcements:

After prom seems far off, but the fund raising is in full swing!  Grab your friends and stop by Merle's in downtown Littleton for dinner on Tuesday, Nov 13th.  They will give a portion back to LHS.  The parent winter sports’ meeting is that night so stop by before or after the meeting for a great meal.  All families are invited, so if you are not planning on attending the meeting, stop by Merle's for dinner!  Just let them know that you are a LHS family!  Thank you!

Then, enjoy some yummy treats at the PTO Bake Sale in the front lobby at school before or after Lions Follies. You’ll want to bring some extra spending money for delectable baked goodies! Enjoy an evening of great fun, benefitting LHS prom and after-prom. It’s a win-win weekend for all!!! Thanks to everyone for supporting this unique Littleton tradition on the 9th and/or 10th!

Juniors and seniors interested in knowing more about the University of Wyoming can meet with the school's admission representative this Friday at 9 a.m. in the Counseling office.  Keep in mind that the Univ of Wyoming is among the more affordable out-of-state options for Colorado students.

FBLA members - we have a meeting tomorrow at 2:20 pm in room 124.  Remember that you have to be ready to choose your competitions for districts.  See you then!

Hey Key Club members...t-shirts are in!  Pick them up from Ms. Race in the Math and Language Arts office as soon as possible.  Be sure to wear them this Thursday when we have our next meeting! STUDENT BULLETIN


Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to all our Halloween Costume Contest Winners!  The Best Homemade Costume winner was Alexandra Kirby, The Funniest winner was Ryan McCracken, the Scariest was Juliana Metz-Root, the Most Creative as Lindsey Young, the Cutest was Analee Roth.  Please stop by Ms Prestel's office during A lunch or after school for your prizes!
 
Congratulations to FBLA and DECA team members who finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the Stock Market Challenge on Friday at the University of Denver Cable Center!  It was so fun to have such an amazing sweep of the game!  Our 1st place team ended the day with a 2.2 million dollar portfolio!  Way to go FBLA and DECA!

Congratulations to the LHS Speech and Debate team for their outstanding performance at the Cherry Creek Classic tournament this past Saturday. We had 12 Students receive either an Excellent or Superior award! Special recognition to Anna Pirkey and Kelly Dinneen for their top-5 finish in Cross Examination debate. Both Maddie Chandler and Sara Leovic placed in the top 6 in Lincon-Douglas debate. They had great cases and diligently destroyed their opponent's arguments to earn their spot on stage.  We wish the team good luck as they travel to Golden High School this Saturday.

Congratulations to your LHS "Lion Pride" Marching Band who competed in the Colorado State Marching Band Championships this past weekend. The Band Qualified out of the Quarterfinal round into the Semi-Finals on Saturday and finished 12th Overall in the State with their highest scoring show of the season.  Go Band!!!
