Academic Announcements:


PLAN Test results for all sophomores will be distributed with explanation of results during AP/U.S. History classes on Wed., Nov. 28.  Any juniors who took the test should plan to attend a short overview of how to interpret the results and pickup their scores in the counseling conference room at 2:20 on November 28.  Please see Ms. Gobble in the Counseling Office with any questions. 

Drop-in Schedule Adjustments for the spring 2013 will be held on specific days, by grade level, between 8:00 am - 2:00 pm during a student's off-hour.  If a student does not have an off-hour, please stop by the counseling office to make an appointment.  Students MUST view and print a copy of their schedule. Students may only adjust their schedule one time; once a schedule is adjusted no other adjustments will be made, with the exception of misplacements. 
•    12th grade:  Nov. 26-30; senior MUST see their own counselor
•    All other grade levels can see the most available counselor.
•    11th grade: Dec. 3
•    10th grade:  Dec. 4
•    9th grade: Dec. 5

Club Announcements:

Balance club will be meeting after school on Monday, November 26, 2012 to do some Yoga for stress relief.  Make a note to bring comfy clothes and join us in Room 143 to do some relaxation stretches.

Student Council is selling “Pay it Forward” coupons for the Musana Orphanage we sponsor in Uganda in the front lobby today.  A great place to purchase holiday gifts and help out the wonderful children at the Musana Orphanage!

Blog Announcements:

Come support the Heritage Hockey team at a fundraiser at Yogo Mojo on Wednesday, November 28th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Enjoy frozen yogurt and your choice of toppings and Yogo Mogo will donate a portion of the evening’s sales to Heritage High School Hockey. See you on the 28th!

The Troubadours and Syrens choirs are currently holding a fundraiser, the color Mr. Farrell's moustache contest, to help offset the costs of their performance outfits.  There are 4 containers with specific colors that will be used to dye Mr. Farrell's moustache prior to the Winter Concert in December.  Students and staff can make a donation into the color container of their choice.  The color container with the most money will be the color that wins and the color that Mr. Farrell will wear for the Choir Winter Concert on December 11th!  

Remember that year your mom made your entire family wear the same sweater?  Or that time you vomited all over the mall Santa Claus? Did you get a picture of it? We want to see your pictures.  The Newspaper is looking for any awkward holiday family photos you have.  Bring them in and we might publish them in our December paper!  Submit pictures by giving them to anyone on the Newspaper staff, leaving them in the mailbox outside of Room 140 (near the box office), or emailing a copy to Ms. Kron.  Happy Awkward Holidays!

Student Recognition & Congratulations:


Congratulations to Team Barcelona, the winners of the International week 4 v 4 soccer tournament.  Daniel Sehkar, Daniel Cooke, Habaku Sehkar, Rachel Ericson, Elena Sacco, and Carli Murray were undefeated as they finished top of the standings.  Thanks to all the players for an excellent competition.

Club Announcements:

Ever had the chance to buy someone a live chicken?  How about a live goat?  Well, here's your chance!  Student Council is selling “Pay it Forward” coupons for the Musana Orphanage we sponsor in Uganda.  These are coupons where you can buy different products for the orphanage and the money you give goes directly to that part of the Musana budget.  Chickens are only $2 a piece, goats are $10 and many, many more animals and other goods will be for sale on today and tomorrow during International Week in the front lobby of the school. Remember to stop by and help out the wonderful children at the Musana Orphanage!

Student Recognition & Congratulations:


Congratulations to the winners of the 2012 Lions Follies Show:  Musical Talent winner:  Ella Kilroy and Becca Astatke, Non-Musical Winner--Jackson Schwartz and Overall Winner:  Kelsey Amsberry.  Thanks everyone for participating; it was a great show!

Littleton High School was well represented at the 2nd Annual LPS Slam last night.  We accounted for 11 of the 23 poets that took the stage.  A huge thanks and congratulations goes out to Joey Pollard, Emi Grove, Virginia Farley, Kristi Simon, Addie Finch, Lucy Haggard, Leslie Stuthiet, Brighten Burks, and Heather Dodge for competing and sharing some of their words, their heart, and their talent last night.  They're rock stars.  Please extend that congratulations to John Ste. Marie, who took third place overall, and Genoa Martin, who took second place.  And one more big thank you to all of the LHS students, friends, and their families who came out to support the event.  Way to shine, Littleton!

Student Recognition & Congratulations:


Congratulations to the following members of the speech and debate team for their outstanding performance last weekend at Golden High School.
-   Hannah Poe and Nick Ditter finished third overall in public forum debate.
-   Anna Pirkey & Kelly Dinneen earned second place in cross examination debate.
-   Lillie Pollard finished in the top 4 for humor
Littleton nearly swept the oratory event:
-   Scarlett del Guidice was a top 5 finalist
-   Megan Sanders earned the silver.
-   Brett Maney earned her gold medal for first place overall finish.
We are excited to see what the rest of this season has to bring!

The 2nd annual LPS Poetry Slam will be held tomorrow night at 7:00pm at the Ames Facility.  Last year LHS students took first and second place at this event, and we hope to do well again.  Come by and hear some amazing and inspiring student poetry.
