Student Recognition & Congratulations:


The LHS Lady Lionfish lost their dual meet with Heritage yesterday, 105-81.  The Lady Fish JV defeated the Eagles, 107-75.  Congratulations to Coach Decker and the divers for their outstanding performance yesterday.  Caitlin Durston, Maddy Hicks, and Sarrelle Schultheis all had career best scores.  Mariah Salas, Bobbi Pettit, and Erin Winkler also had a great meet and showed much improvement.  Next up will be Highlands Ranch next Thursday in our pool.

Academic Announcements:

Today is an EVEN Period day.

The LPS Swim Waiver Test at Heritage High school is open to all LPS students in grades 9-12.  The test date is Jan. 17, at 2:30 pm in the Heritage swim pool. Students must preregister to take the test.  For more complete information, please check in the counseling office.

Club Announcements:

GSA and the Equity Conference planners will meet Monday in the art room at 2:20.  We need people to sign up for committees and the Cherry Creek Diversity Conference.  This is an important meeting, so be there!!

Sport Announcements:

Let's support our Unified Basketball team at their home opener Monday, January 14th at 7:00pm in the north gym.  Let's cheer them to victory over Arapahoe.  Let's pack the gym with purple and gold and lots of Lion Pride!

Special Events:

All Students interested in auditioning for Good Stock concert should plan to audition on Monday, January 14th from 3:00-6:00pm in the choir room.  The Good Stock performance will be Friday, January 18th. Please see Stirling Rutty or Becca Astaske if you have any questions.


Other Announcements:

All new students to LHS this semester are invited to a brown bag lunch in the counseling conference room today during their lunch period.  This will be an opportunity to meet other new students, as well connect with current LHS students.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Zerr in the Counseling Office.

Attention Students – do you need a computer? If you do not have a computer, we have free computers for you. These are refurbished desktop computers, not laptops. They use the XP operating system and are loaded with Open Office; please see Mr. Hahn in the counseling office.

Blog Announcements:

Heritage-Littleton Women's Lacrosse:  Please join us on Tuesday January 15, 2013 from 6:30-8:00pm in the 2nd floor lecture hall at Heritage High School for a very important meeting prior to tryouts.  Players and parents will receive information for the 2013 season and meet the coaches.  All final payments and forms will need to be turned in at the meeting.  We look forward to seeing all the players and parents, and kicking off the 2013 lacrosse season!

Students:  Are you an artist or marketer?  If so, consider entering the Counseling Department’s contest to be the chosen designer for the Lions Cupboard emblem.  The Lions Cupboard is a small clothes bank at LHS located in room 153 that has new and gently used jackets, pants, shirts, socks, shoes, and hats for students in need.  You can submit your design to Mr. Hahn in the Counseling Office between January 8, 2013 and January 25, 2013.  Designs will be judged by the Counseling Office and a winner will be chosen and announced on January 28th. 

Boys Indoor Winter Ball Lacrosse starts tomorrow.  Games this weekend are at 12pm and 12:50pm at Foothills Indoor Sports Arena.  All players interested should arrive by 11:30am.  $100 for 7 winter games or $20 drop-in.  If you have any questions contact Coach Todd, Coach Marshall or Kellyn Gray, LHS athletic secretary.

Hi LHS parents, faculty and coaches: Don’t miss the upcoming Februaryfest Booster Bash at Glenmoor Country Club on February 1st.  Everyone is invited… the more, the merrier. This will be a very enjoyable evening to spend with adult members from our LHS community.  For more information, check out the Littleton High School website.
