Student Recognition & Congratulations:
Congratulations to the Girls' basketball program for their sweep of Gateway on Tuesday night. All three levels won by a large margin. The Varsity team was led by senior Stephanie Puchino's 15 points. Up next for the Lions are home games this weekend, with the C team playing Castle View on Friday and the JV and Varsity playing Denver North on Saturday. We hope to see you there to support them.
Academic Announcements:
Today is an ODD Period day.
Juniors and Seniors: Former LHS student Erin Cox will be here today at 10:00am to meet with anyone interested in CU Boulder. Please come by the counseling office if you need a pass to attend.
All new students to LHS this semester are invited to a brown bag lunch in the counseling conference room on Fri., Jan. 11 during their lunch period. This will be an opportunity to meet other new students, as well connect with current LHS students. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Zerr in the Counseling Office.
Club Announcements:
Welcome Back Philosophers! We'll meet today after school in room 103. New members are always welcome. Come on by for a chat. Again, we'll see you after school in room 103.
HIP HOP will meet today after school in the Forum @ 2:30 p.m.
FBLA members we have a MANDATORY meeting today at 2:20 pm in Room 124. Very important FBLA District information will be shared. Our testing window for Districts begins next Monday! Please plan to attend this meeting. See you there!
Do you want to be the next Steven Spielberg? Do you want to make the next great film? If so Lion Film Society is a good opportunity to gain experience in the film making process. Come to our meeting next Wednesday, January 16th to learn more. Snacks will be provided in room 151.
Sport Announcements:
The Littleton wrestling team has a match tonight at home against Legend. JV wrestles at 6:00 and Varsity wrestles at 7:00.
Let's support our Unified Basketball team at their home opener Monday, January 14th at 7:00pm in the north gym. Let's cheer them to victory over Arapahoe. Let's pack the gym with purple and gold and lots of Lion Pride!
Boys Indoor Winter Ball Lacrosse starts Saturday. Games this weekend are at 12pm and 12:50pm at Foothills Indoor Sports Arena. All players interested should arrive by 11:30am. $100 for 7 winter games or $20 drop-in. If you have any questions contact Coach Todd, Coach Marshall or Kellyn Gray, LHS athletic secretary.
Special Events:
All Students interested in auditioning for Good Stock concert should plan to audition on Monday, January 14th from 3:00-6:00pm in the choir room. The Good Stock performance will be next Friday evening, January 18th. Please see Stirling Rutty or Becca Astaske if you have any questions.
Other Announcements:
Attention Students – do you need a computer? If you do not have a computer, we have free computers for you. These are refurbished desktop computers, not laptops. They use the XP operating system and are loaded with Open Office; please see Mr. Hahn in the counseling office.
Students: Are you an artist or marketer? If so, consider entering the Counseling Department’s contest to be the chosen designer for the Lions Cupboard emblem. The Lions Cupboard is a small clothes bank at LHS located in room 153 that has new and gently used jackets, pants, shirts, socks, shoes, and hats for students in need. You can submit your design to Mr. Hahn in the Counseling Office between January 8, 2013 and January 25, 2013. Designs will be judged by the Counseling Office and a winner will be chosen and announced on January 28th.

Hi LHS parents, faculty and coaches: Don’t miss the upcoming Februaryfest Booster Bash at Glenmoor Country Club on February 1st. Everyone is invited… the more, the merrier. This will be a very enjoyable evening to spend with adult members from our LHS community. For more information, check out the Littleton High School website.
