Academic Announcements: 

PSAT:  Students who have signed up for the PSAT, a reminder you will report to the South Gym on Wed., by 7:20.  You MUST remember to bring your photo ID, two, #2 pencils, an appropriate calculator (check your practice book if questions).  DO NOT bring your cell phone. Attendance will be taken and your names have been forwarded to the attendance office.  You will have a break after testing for lunch, but will be expected to attend periods 6, 7 & 8.

Attention all 9th grade students, there will be NO Advisement this week, again, there will be NO Advisement this week.  See you next week.

There is a new course coming to LHS for the spring semester.  Intro to Computer Science!  This course will be an overview of the fundamentals of Computer Science, including the functions and limitations of computers.  The Java language and the Object-Oriented Programming paradigm will be used.  Any student who is interested should see his/her counselor to sign-up.  The class will be offered 8th period.  Availability is on a first-come first-serve basis, and priority will be given to seniors, then juniors, then sophomores, and then freshmen. The class will be capped at 32 students, so get into your counselor now to sign-up!

Juniors/Seniors interested in ACTS/Concurrent Enrollment should plan to attend an important informational meeting on Oct. 24 at 2:20 in Room 103.  Concurrent enrollment is a program that allows dual enrollment between LHS with Arapahoe Community College and Metropolitan State University of Denver.  Please see Mr. Puchino in the Counseling Office with questions.

Club Announcements: 

Attention Mathletes:  Want to test your math prowess?  Come to the Math League Contest, TODAY after school in Room 103.  There are 6 questions that you must do in 30 minutes.  Contest will run promptly from 2:30 to 3:00. Bring a calculator and pencil.

The world club is working to raise awareness for the crusade against Brest Cancer, and will be passing out pink ribbons to wear and providing treats during passing period this week. Since 1992, the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade has been working tirelessly to help prevent, treat, and ultimately eradicate this disease. The Crusade's life-saving work supports awareness and education, screening and diagnosis, access to care, support services, and scientific research.

Other Announcements: 

For students needing help in Math & Science Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 107.  Please use the forum entrance.

If you had your picture taken on Retake Day, your new ID cards are here.  Please see Mrs. Mountfort in the main office to pick yours up.  If you order pictures on Retake Day, the picture order will come to the school the first week of November.

Students – do you need a computer? If you do not have a computer at home, we have free computers for you. These are refurbished desktop computers, not laptops. They use the XP operating system and are loaded with Open Office; please see Mr. Hahn in the counseling office to receive a voucher for a free computer and/or more information.

Attention everyone who has signed up to be in the Lions Follies show, make sure you check your audition time and please be at your audition 15 mins ahead of time.  We will start auditioning on Monday Oct. 21st in room 141.  Good luck!

Blog Announcements:

Hello parents and students! Parent/Teacher conferences are coming up on Tuesday and Wednesday. PTO will be selling delicious frozen yogurt cups with yummy toppings during both sessions, so remember to bring a little extra spending money to treat yourself to a  little snack while chatting with your teachers. PTO will be selling each yogurt cup for $3, and all proceeds will go to after-prom. It’s a delicious way to curb your hunger while helping our very special event in April! Thanks in advance for your support!

Prepaid PTO Directories will be available at Parent/Teacher Conferences Tuesday & Wednesday, October 15 & 16 at the yogurt stand in the cafeteria.  We do have a few extra Directories available for purchase at $10 each.  Reminder there will also be $3 yogurt cups with toppings available for purchase to support the PTO After-prom during Parent/Teacher Conferences.

Get a jump start on your holiday shopping, and enjoy live music and refreshments with friends, while you browse the unique, hand-crafted accessories at the third annual Littleton High School Performing Arts Music & Craft Fair!  The craft fair will be held on Saturday, Nov 9, 9 am-4 pm, in the LHS South Gym and Cafeteria. Save the Date – Sunday, October 27th for the 18th Annual Stride . Join your fellow students in either a 5K or 10K race through the beautiful streets of Littleton.  We have been challenged to win the School Competition for the 3rd year in a row, so we need to have as many participants as possible join the Littleton High School team.
