Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations on a great finish to the season winning the last four matches! Please don't forget we have a team meeting and uniform check-in on Wednesday 2:30 at the soccer office.

The JV soccer team defeated Highlands Ranch on Saturday 3 to 0. Goals were scored by T.C., David and Donaciano. The JV team can get first place in the league if they win their final game tomorrow. Good luck JV soccer

Congratulations to your Lion Ultimate mixed team as we continue our winning ways.  Our undefeated record is 6 and 0 after beating Heritage 11-4 and CIVA 11-5 this weekend!  Our next game is here against RMSEL Thursday at 4.  Please come and let us hear you cheer!

Academic Announcements:

Attention all 9th grade students, there will be NO Advisement this week, again, there will be NO Advisement this week.  See you next week.

There is a new course coming to LHS for the spring semester.  Intro to Computer Science!  This course will be an overview of the fundamentals of Computer Science, including the functions and limitations of computers.  The Java language and the Object-Oriented Programming paradigm will be used.  Any student who is interested should see his/her counselor to sign-up.  The class will be offered 8th period.  Availability is on a first-come first-serve basis, and priority will be given to seniors, then juniors, then sophomores, and then freshmen. The class will be capped at 32 students, so get into your counselor now to sign-up!

Juniors/Seniors interested in ACTS/Concurrent Enrollment should plan to attend an important informational meeting on Oct. 24 at 2:20 in Room 103.  Concurrent enrollment is a program that allows dual enrollment between LHS with Arapahoe Community College and Metropolitan State University of Denver.  Please see Mr. Puchino in the Counseling Office with questions. 

Club Announcements:

ALL NHS members-today's meeting has been canceled due to the band activities. Please check your email and respond to Ms. Montoya or Mrs. Kaska.

Attention Mathletes:  Want to test your math prowess?  Come to the Math League Contest, Tuesday after school in Room 103.  There are 6 questions that you must do in 30 minutes.  Contest will run promptly from 2:30 to 3:00. Bring a calculator and pencil.

FCA will be meeting Monday, October 14th, in Room 102 at 2:30.  There will be snacks and everyone is invited.

All Clubs and Sports teams that meet today – please be advised that a Band Festival is taking place this afternoon in the stadium.  All parking lots will get used. Your car may get blocked in if you are parked in the front entrance or athletic lots.

Sport Announcements:

All boys interested in playing basketball this year should attend an important meeting today after school in the Forum. 

For all those interested in being a partner for Unified Basketball please come to a short informational meeting MONDAY OCT. 14 at 2:15 in room 105.

If you had your picture taken on Retake Day, your new ID cards are here.  Please see Mrs. Mountfort in the main office to pick yours up.  If you order pictures on Retake Day, the picture order will come to the school the first week of November.

Students – do you need a computer? If you do not have a computer at home, we have free computers for you. These are refurbished desktop computers, not laptops. They use the XP operating system and are loaded with Open Office; please see Mr. Hahn in the counseling office to receive a voucher for a free computer and/or more information.

Lions Follies – sign-up sheets up in the library and the theater hall bulletin boards.

Blog Announcements:

Hello parents and students! Parent/Teacher conferences are coming up on Tuesday and Wednesday. PTO will be selling delicious frozen yogurt cups with yummy toppings during both sessions, so remember to bring a little extra spending money to treat yourself to a  little snack while chatting with your teachers. PTO will be selling each yogurt cup for $3, and all proceeds will go to after-prom. It’s a delicious way to curb your hunger while helping our very special event in April! Thanks in advance for your support!

Prepaid PTO Directories will be available at Parent/Teacher Conferences Tuesday & Wednesday, October 15 & 16 at the yogurt stand in the cafeteria.  We do have a few extra Directories available for purchase at $10 each.  Reminder there will also be $3 yogurt cups with toppings available for purchase to support the PTO After-prom during Parent/Teacher Conferences.

Get a jump start on your holiday shopping, and enjoy live music and refreshments with friends, while you browse the unique, hand-crafted accessories at the third annual Littleton High School Performing Arts Music & Craft Fair!  The craft fair will be held on Saturday, Nov 9, 9 am-4 pm, in the LHS South Gym and Cafeteria. Save the Date – Sunday, October 27th for the 18th Annual Stride . Join your fellow students in either a 5K or 10K race through the beautiful streets of Littleton.  We have been challenged to win the School Competition for the 3rd year in a row, so we need to have as many participants as possible join the Littleton High School team. If our school has the largest percentage of participants, we win $1,000!  The PE department is giving extra credit for PE Students who sign up.  Please see Mr. Banfield or go online:  www.runthestride.com
