Student Announcements:

Picture Retake Day is TODAY, all day in the Theater Lobby. You need to have your picture taken if you missed the original picture day or if you would like your picture retaken. Please have your original picture packet or an order form ready.  Late pictures orders can be picked up in main office, see Mrs. Mountfort. 
 
Academic Announcements:
 
Attention Seniors – This is the last day that Josten's will be here to take orders for Graduation.  They will be in the senior hall from 10:30a.m to 12:00p.m TODAY!
 
Attention Juniors and Seniors.  An admissions rep from the University of Washington in Seattle will be here to meet with students TODAY, October 3rd ... AND from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio and Fort Lewis College in Durango will all be here TOMORROW, October 4th. Please stop by Post Grad to get a pass out of class to attend these meetings.
 
Club Announcements:
 
FBLA will meet TODAY at 2:30pm in room 124.  See you there!
 
FCCLA will be meeting TODAY in room 120, right after school.
Technology Student Association it's that time of year where it's time to get to work.  We have a meeting TODAY in the tech lab.  It will start promptly at 2:20pm.  Paid members will begin signing up for events, so bring your $25 membership fee and get started.  See you in the tech lab on Thursday.
 
Attention gamers!  The Role Playing Game Club is hosting and all-school all star Super Smash Brothers Brawl tournament TODAY after school in room 113.  All students are welcome to attend, and check out the rest of our games while you're there.  Sign up or see Mr. Saliman for more details.
 
Sport Announcements:
 
Girls softball play Thunder Ridge is TODAY at 3:30pm at Euclid Middle School.  Come cheer on our team.
 
Girl's Volleyball plays at Rock Canyon tonight- freshman and sophomores start at 4:30pm, JV plays at 5:30pm, and Varsity starts at 6:30pm.  Good luck and GO LIONS!

Starting TODAY - From the Mane Stage: "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde.  Show times are 7pm tonight and tomorrow and 6pm on Saturday.  Student tickets are $7.00, and adult tickets are $10.00.  Tickets are available at the box office during A and B lunch, or online at: www.seatyourself.biz/lhsperformingarts.  Come see why being Ernest is the best way to go!
 
It’s October and everyone is talking about The Stride! - The LPS Foundation is having their 18th annual Stride 2013 on Sunday, October 27 at the Littleton Museum.  Our entire LHS community is encouraged to participate (students, families and faculty).  LHS has won $1000 the past two years for highest high school participation.  Let’s do it again.  See our website for registration details.
 
Do you have a special talent? Or maybe you are an amazing singer?  How about a comedian-can you get people to laugh!?  If so, Student Council wants YOU to tryout for our annual Variety show here at LHS called Lions Follies.  The sheets will be located in the main office and on the music bulletin board in the drama hall.  Sign up yourself, your band, or your group to be in the best show in town!!  Sign-up will begin on Tuesday 8th and end on Wed. 16th.  Auditions begin the week of the 21st.  Come on out and show your stuff!!

Other Announcements:

Class t-shirts will be available to pick up next week starting on Tuesday in the cafeteria during the lunches.  So, if you did not get a chance to pick yours up before homecoming, come down to the cafeteria Tuesday through Friday next week and pick it up!  They are still $5 if you have not paid for one; and you can pay at the pick up table. 

Blog Announcements:

For students needing help in Math & Science Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 107.  Please use the forum entrance.
Juniors can sign up in the Counseling Office for the PSAT (practice SAT) Sept. 23 - Oct. 11. The test is Wed., Oct. 16, 7:30 - 11:30 am in the LHS South Gym. Registrations are limited to the first 200 students, and students must pay the $20, non-refundable fee when they sign up.
 
Attentions all students, LHS Bookkeeping will be closed from 7:30-9:00am daily.  Please plan accordingly. THANK YOU!
 
For students not able to attend the Academic Awards Program, please stop by the main office to pick up your award.
 
SAVE THE DATE:  The LPS Foundation is having their 18th annual Stride 2013 on Sunday, October 27 at the Littleton Museum.  Register online at www.runthestride.com  or register in person at the Boulder Running Company, 8116 W. Bowles Avenue in Littleton OR at Run Colorado, 8505 E. Arapahoe Rd. in Centennial from Friday, Sept 27, through 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 23.  Join your fellow students in either a 5K or 10K race through the beautiful streets of Littleton.  We have been challenged to win the High School Competition for a third year in a row so we need to have as many participants as possible join the "Littleton High School" team.  If our school has the largest percentage of participants, we win $1,000 again.  GO LIONS!!!
