Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Your LION ULTIMATE mixed team is seeded #2 in the State.  We are feeling pressure, excitement, and pride!!  If you can come out and support us, the games will be at 9, 11:15, and 1:30 both days, Sat. and Sun., at Broomfield Commons Park.  Wish us luck!

Academic Announcements: 

Test results from the LHS testing day will be distributed to students who took the test as follows:
EXPLORE (9th grade):  Distributed in Advisement classes on Monday and Tuesday, next week,  Nov. 11th-12th
Practice ACT (11th grade):  Distributed in Social Studies Nov. 14/15
Students who are absent on the days of distribution can pick up their results AFTER the above listed dates in the Counseling Office.

Club Announcements: 

DECA and FBLA members attending the Stock Market Challenge TODAY, remember to report to the cafeteria immediately after 4th period (10:30 am) to board the bus for DU.  Make sure you have turned in both of your permissions slips to either Mr. Decker or Mrs. Martin or you will not be able to attend. Don't forget your ice cream money!  See you on the bus!

All speech and debate team members are reminded that the deadline to sign up for December tournaments is TODAY, by the end of our team meeting.

Sport Announcements:

There will be a CO ED, 4 versus 4 soccer tournament from 3-5pm in the stadium on Wednesday, November 20, as part of International Week. Teams of 2 boys and 2 girls from any grade may participate. Register your team with coach Banfield before Friday, November 15.

Wrestling season starts on Wednesday, November 13th.  If you are interested in wrestling see coach Burton in room 133W.

Girls Preseason Basketball Camp continues tonight from 5:00-7:00.  Anyone planning on attending tryouts next week is strongly encouraged to attend.

Pre-season Boys Basketball camp continues tonight from in the North Gym.  All players interested in trying out are welcome to attend.

Special Events:

LHS is holding a book drive to support the schools in Lyons impacted by the recent Colorado floods.  Their schools are in need of books appropriate for students in grades K-12.  You can drop off new or gently used books in the attendance office, library or in your language arts classroom starting November 11.  The drive will run through November 22, so there is plenty of time to be part of this flood relief effort!

Don’t forget Lions Follies is this weekend, tickets are on sale in the cafeteria during lunches and at the ticket booth after school. The price is $6 and they are General Admission.

As you know we are currently collecting perishable items and food gift cards for our Thanksgiving Holiday Baskets and the donations are pouring in – Thank you!  If you know of a family that could benefit from receiving a basket, please see Josh Hahn in the Counseling department.

International Education Week is coming to LHS the week of November 12-18. This is an event that is promoted by the U.S. Department of Education and State in order to promote international learning and exchange. LHS has celebrated this week since 2001. The week's schedule is posted outside the library, and the days events will be read in the daily announcements. Each period in the Forum there will be LHS and guest speakers who will present on a variety of international topics as well as international films. Additionally, there will be an intramural soccer tournament Wednesday after school and a study abroad and culture fair Wednesday evening between 6 and 8 pm. Friday in the Theater their will be an world music concert and dance performance. In addition to attending events with your classes, feel welcome to attend events during your off hours.

Eat delicious treats from the PTO Bake Sales happening in conjunction with Lions Follies on Friday and Saturday night.  Yum!

Encore Craft Fair is all day on Saturday, 9am-4pm - Entertainment, Food & Shopping - you won’t want to miss out!!

Blog Announcements:

Schedule adjustments will not be done for second semester until the following dates by grade level:  12th grade: Dec. 2; 11th grade:  Dec. 3; 10th grade Dec. 5 and 9th grade:  Dec. 6.

Calling all Littleton Public Schools ice hockey players! Tryouts for the Winter CHSAA season are Nov. 13 and 15 at the Ice Ranch in Littleton at 3PM. Visit www.heritagelpshockey.org for details.

All students who are planning to participate in Winter Sports must register on-line on the Athletic website and ensure the Athletic Dept has a current physical form for you on file, before participating in the sport. Some students have handed in their physical forms but have not yet registered.
