Congratulations to the LHS speech and debate team who finished 2nd out of 21 schools at the Chatfield Chill this past weekend.  Leading the way were:

Ellie Monblatt, 3rd in Poetry
Lauren Sehgal and Shania Mofle, undefeated in Public Forum Debate
Sara Leovic and Kieran Britt, undefeated in Lincoln Douglas Debate
Kelly Dineen and David Levine, tournament champions in Policy Debate
and Kristi Sauer, tournament champion in Drama

Academic Announcements: 

PSAT results will be distributed in Room 103 on Thursday, Dec. 12, immediately after school. Please plan to attend this short meeting, as Mrs. Gobble will provide you with valuable information about how to interrupt your results.

Get Math or Science help to prepare for finals!
- Math tutoring after school from 2:15-4pm on Tuesday and Thursday in room 121.
- Lockheed Martin Math & Science tutoring in the evenings from 6-7:30pm Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday in room 107.

Club Announcements: 

The World Club will meet in room 206 between 2:20 and 2:40 pm TODAY.

Come out and support our Lions.   Our Varsity Boys Basketball team is playing Green Mountain High School TODAY at 7:00 pm.

Blog Announcements:

The Counseling Department is helping students and families in need during the Christmas holidays by providing families with gift cards to one of the following stores: King Soopers, Safeway, Target and Walmart.  If you would like to make a donation please bring gift cards (please indicate the dollar amount for each card) to the Counseling Department by December 13, 2013. Thank you!

All Students, The time is running out to purchase a yearbook!!  You can order your yearbook through the book keeper.  Don't be left out!   The deadline to purchase is December 14.

Get your snowflake from the Giving Snowman for Musana Children’s Home in Uganda and for the Samaritan House in Denver.  All you have to do is take the snowflake home, look at the suggested gifts on the back of the snowflake then bring your gift back to school and put it in the Social Studies office by Ms Prestel's desk by Dec. 20th!  BUT, you had better hurry--the snowflakes go fast!!

The LHS Women’s Ensemble Choir is accepting new and good used blankets which will be donated to the Denver Rescue Mission.  Please bring your blanket donations to the Choir Room or give them to a member of the Women’s Ensemble Choir.  Donations will be accepted through Monday, December 16th, and then delivered to the Denver Rescue Mission during Finals Week.

  • Tues, Dec 10 - Our Varsity Boys Basketball team is playing Green Mountain High School at 7:00 pm.
  • Wed, Dec 11 - Our Varsity Boys Basketball team is playing Palmer High School at 7:00 pm.
  • Thurs, Dec 12 - Our Swim & Diving team has a meet with ThunderRidge High School starting at 4:00 pm.
  • Our Girls Basketball team has a tournament this weekend - with our JV team playing at 7:00 pm in the South Gym and Varsity playing at 7:30 pm in the North Gym. The tournament ends on Saturday.
