Other Announcements:

The Holiday season is here and that means helping out those let fortunate than us; and a GREAT way to do this is by taking a snowflake off of the Giving Snowman for the Musana Children's Home in Uganda! Student Council supports the 82 orphans of Musana and we are putting up a Snowman in the senior hall on Monday Dec. 9th.  On this snowman are 82 snowflakes each representing one of the orphans of Musana.  All you have to do is take the snowflake home, look at the suggested gifts on the back of the snowflake then bring your gift back to school and put it in the Social Studies office by Ms Prestel's desk by Dec. 20th!  BUT, you had better hurry--the snowflakes go fast!!

In addition to a Musana Giving Snowman, Student Council also has one up for a Denver homeless shelter--so, if you miss out on a snowflake on the Musana Giving Snowman, take one off of the Samaritan House Giving Snowman and help someone out here in Denver who is struggling.  The same process applies: take a snowflake, look at the suggested gifts on the back, bring them into the Social Studies office by Dec. 20th. Thanks!

Blankets for the Homeless - The LHS Women’s Ensemble Choir is accepting new and good used blankets which will be donated to the Denver Rescue Mission.  Please bring your blanket donations to the Choir Room or give them to a member of the Women’s Ensemble Choir.  Donations will be accepted through Monday, December 16th, and then delivered to the Denver Rescue Mission during Finals Week.

The Counseling Department is helping students and families in need during the Christmas holidays by providing families with gift cards to one of the following stores: King Soopers, Safeway, Target and Walmart.
