Student Recognition & Congratulations:

The Lady lionfish competed against Rock Canyon yesterday.  Winning for the Lady Fish was Claire Tronrud in the 200 free and the 100 free.  Also, congratulations to Claire Tronrud, Megan Sanders, Caroline Montgomery, and Morgan Zueger who qualified the 200 free relay for the state meet.

Academic Announcements: 

The admissions representative for the Savannah College of Art & Design's rescheduled visit to our school is this Thursday.  She will meet with students at 1pm in the Post Grad Center.

Special Events:

This is Spirit Week!  Today is Glitz & Glamour Day, Thursday is Bow Tie & Pearls Day, and Friday, is class T-Shirt day.

Winter Dance tickets are on sale during lunch times.  Tickets are $8.00 for individuals, $15.00 for couples. The Dance is this Saturday night from 8:00 to 11:00pm in the south gym.

Club Announcements: 

Fashion Club meets TODAY after school in room 205.  See you there!

FCCLA has a meeting this Thursday, after school.  If you are planning on going to District and State Conference, you need to attend this meeting.  We will also be signing up to prepare foods for the Women's Shelter.

Want to make an impact in your community though projects that encompass the mission of the American Red Cross?  Come to an informational meeting about the American Red Cross Youth Club this Thursday, at 2:30 in room 132E.

State DECA members, there will be a MANDATORY meeting this Thursday right after school in room 124.  Please see Mr. Decker immediately if you cannot make the meeting.

FBLA members, district competition is this Friday, January 31, 2014.  Be sure to turn in your permission slip to Mrs. Martin or you cannot ride the bus!  There will be a meeting this Thursday, January 30 after school to make sure we are all ready for Friday!  See you then!

Sport Announcements:

Girls Soccer - Any girls wishing to play soccer for LHS in the spring must attend a short meeting at 2.20pm TODAY in room 133E.

Boys LAX – Any boys wishing to play lacrosse for LHS in the spring must attend a parent/player meeting on Thursday evening, Jan 30th in the Forum at 7pm.

Blog Announcements:

For students needing help in Math & Science Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 107.  Please use the forum entrance.

A Writing Center is now open in the library on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7:20-3:30. Come in and work with a peer tutor on writing from all classes and at any stage in the writing process. You can make an appointment in the library, and walk-ins are also welcome. Please see the library staff if you have any additional questions.

Our Unified Basketball team will participate in a tournament at the Pepsi Center on January 29th from 1-5pm. Following the tournament, the Denver Nuggets will take on the Charlotte Bobcats at 7pm.  Any ticket purchased will get you into the tournament and game.  Special discounted tickets are available at www.nuggetstix.com/unified129

Please come down and take care of any Library fines that you may have.  LHS Library will be donating all Library fines and printing fees collected to Arapahoe High School’s Library remodeling project.
