Winter Dance tickets are on sale during lunch times. Tickets are $8.00 for individuals, $15.00 for couples.
Winter Dance things to know:
• The theme is 'The Roaring Twenties'
• The Dance is this Saturday night from 8:00 to 11:00pm in the south gym.
• Guest forms are due Thursday, January 30th
Club Announcements:
Are you interested in learning about opportunities to join with your LHS peers on some hiking and skiing adventures this winter and spring? If so the first meeting for the New LHS Colorado Club (ie: hiking and skiing club) will be in room 206 at 2:20pm TODAY! See you there!
If you are interested in being a part of the newspaper or yearbook staff next year, your applications are due TODAY.

Another New LHS Club – American Red Cross Youth Club! Want to make an impact in your community though projects that encompass the mission of the American Red Cross? Come to an informational meeting this Thursday, at 2:30 in room 132E.
State DECA members, there will be a MANDATORY meeting this Thursday right after school in room 124. Please see Mr. Decker immediately if you cannot make the meeting.
FBLA members, district competition is this Friday, January 31, 2014. Be sure to turn in your permission slip to Mrs. Martin or you cannot ride the bus! There will be a meeting this Thursday, January 30 after school to make sure we are all ready for Friday! See you then!

For students needing help in Math & Science Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 107. Please use the forum entrance.
Sport Announcements:
Girls Soccer - Any girls wishing to play soccer for LHS in the spring must attend a short meeting at 2.20pm on Wednesday Jan 29 in room 133E. You will receive information on tryouts and the upcoming season. If you cannot attend, please see coach Banfield to collect the papers.
Boys LAX – Any boys wishing to play lacrosse for LHS in the spring must attend a parent/player meeting on Thursday evening, Jan 30th in the Forum at 7pm. Coaches will go over important information about tryouts, game schedules and what to expect for the upcoming season.
Blog Announcements:
A Writing Center is now open in the library on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7:20-3:30. Come in and work with a peer tutor on writing from all classes and at any stage in the writing process. You can make an appointment in the library, and walk-ins are also welcome. Please see the library staff if you have any additional questions.

Our Unified Basketball team will participate in a tournament at the Pepsi Center on January 29th from 1-5pm. Following the tournament, the Denver Nuggets will take on the Charlotte Bobcats at 7pm.
