Student Recognition & Congratulations: 

Varsity boys soccer team defeated Dakota Ridge yesterday in a 5 -1, Congratulations!

The JV boys soccer team scored early and often during their 9 to 0 victory over Dakota Ridge yesterday. Matteo Tesei had 2 goals and 3 assists and Chico Barron also netted 2 goals for the Lions.

Academic Announcements: 

Back to School Night is TONIGHT at 6pm.  Students, please help your parents by showing them how to print your class schedule.  They will need to bring your schedule with them this evening.  Additional information is on the website.

Club Announcements: 

Attention any Freshmen who picked up a Student Council Officer packet, don’t forget you can start campaigning any day now!  Remember, you want to get your name out to your class so they will vote for you!  Check the regulations on how to put posters up at LHS and let’s see some great campaign posters!!

The first meeting for the World, Green, Model UN, and Colorado Clubs will be in Room 206 TODAY at 2:20pm.

FCCLA (Families, Career and Community Leaders of America) will be having its first meeting of the year this Thursday.  If you are interested in scholarships, leadership skills, culinary competitions and many other events; then don't miss this meeting.  We meet in room 120, right after school this Thursday.  Everyone is welcome to join!

Do you want to make new friends and make a difference?  Then come along and find out more about the Littleton High School Key Club.  Key Club is a service organization that organizes events to help both the local community and people all around the world.  Our first meeting will be this Thursday at 2.20 in the courtyard opposite the cafeteria.  Everyone is welcome and there will be popsicles!

FBLA will have our first meeting of the school year on Thursday in room 124 at 2:20 pm.  Come and see what we are all about!  Treats will be provided!

Ms. Kowal will hold an informational meeting on Thursday after school at 2:30p.m. in the Forum to determine the future direction of HIP HOP club.  Please plan to attend if you are interesting in HIP HOP style dancing and want to participate in this club.

Sports Announcements:

Girls' Soccer - Any girls wishing to play soccer for LHS should attend a short meeting TODAY at 2:20pm in room 133E. If you cannot attend please see coach Banfield to collect the paperwork.

Fall tryouts for Littleton Poms will be next week September 2nd through September 5th. An informational meeting will be held this Thursday at 2:30 in room 101. Everyone who tryouts must have a current physical on file and must bring a copy of their physical to tryouts. Please see Ms. Montoya with questions. Go Lions!

Blog Announcements:

Hi Parents!  Join us for our first Tailgate Party in the stadium parking lot this Friday for our first home game! If you were at the Glenmoor FUNraiser, the football ticket you received is for THIS GAME!  Let's cheer on the Lions as they face Wheat Ridge at 7pm.

The Choir Department is holding its third annual Garage Sale and Car Wash fundraiser on Saturday, Sep 6, 8am-12pm, in the Littleton High School front parking lot, to help with the cost of choir outfits for the Troubadours and Syrens.  Donation items for the garage sale would be greatly appreciated, and can be dropped off in the theatre lobby Thursday Sep 4, Friday Sep 5, or the day of the garage sale, on Sep 6, between 7am-8am. (All unsold items will be donated to charity after the sale.)  Volunteers to help set up and assist during the event are needed as well.  Come out and show your support for the choir department on Saturday Sep 6!  Bring your friends and family!

For students needing help in Math & Science Lockheed Martin tutoring will begin next week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 107.

Attention Students:  There is new language in the code of conduct regarding Policy JICG tobacco use. These changes are board approved and state "Students may not possess tobacco products or paraphernalia on school premises or at school-sponsored events."  Please remember that electronic cigarettes, vape pens, etc are considered to be tobacco paraphernalia.  Listed on page 18 of the LPS code of conduct are specifics regarding rules and consequences.

Student's, please remember to be smart about leaving your backpacks unattended, especially if you have electronics and valuables in your backpack. It is always wise to lock important items in your locker when you are not using them.

MANY THANKS to those came to the PTO FUNraiser at Glenmoor last week! Thanks to you, we are off to a great start with raising funds to replace the 25-year-old sound system in the gym.  If you were not able to attend or did not have your checkbook handy, it’s not too late to donate!  Please make checks payable to “LHS PTO” and write “gym sound system” in the memo line.  You can send your check to LHS or drop off your donation at the PTO refreshment table at Back to School Night on Wed, Aug 27th.  You can alos donate to After Prom, which is sponsored by the PTO.  Just write "After-prom" in the memo line.
