Student Recognition & Congratulations:

CONGRATULATIONS to the Senior girls!!  They won the Powder Puff competition yesterday afternoon!  They defeated the Sophomores in a hard fought game then went on to beat the juniors in the championship game!  Way to go--they are two time winners!  And thanks to everyone who was in the crowd--it was the best ever!

If you left after the Powder Puff games you missed pure excitement! Men's C Team came from being down 3-0 to win 5-4 scoring the go ahead goal in the last minute and a half of play.  A fantastic team effort! Goals were scored by Nasr Ali Abid, Tucson DeShon, Duke Hindman added two and Captain Alexis Valles Alvarado put the Lions in the lead for good in the 78th minute.  Come out today and support the team when they play Thunder Ridge at 4 pm today on the grass field.

The JV soccer team won the contest against D'Evelyn 6 to 2 on Monday.  Matteo Tesei and Emmanuel Cooke each scored two goals in the win.

LHS Cross Country boys team finished sixth 6th out of 25 teams this week.  Colin Cannon and Tommy Kail finished together to lead the Lions.  Sam Bateman took 3rd place in the open race.  The girls wedged into 10th-place, led by Addi Iken.  Way to go Lions!
