Special Events:

Seniors who are looking for help with writing their college essays won't want to miss Mr. Stedron's workshop TODAY during both A and B lunch in the Forum.  Learn some great tips on how to Wow your colleges with a standout essay.

On behalf of the Littleton High School and Heritage High School marching bands, we would like to take this opportunity to invite you to the LPS District Marching Band Showcase!!!!  The event is TONIGHT in the Littleton Public Schools Stadium, 6:30 - 8:00 PM.  This is a free event for all LPS staff, all LPS high school, middle school, and elementary school students, family and friends.  The bands are all are very excited to perform for you and the entire LPS community and we want to thank you for your continued support of our programs throughout the year!

Academic Announcements:

Wednesday, October 1st, Ann Summers, a Math Specialist from the Littleton Public Schools District Office, will present information about the new math curriculum from 5:00-5:45 pm, at the Littleton High School Forum. If you have a student in regular or honors Algebra I, Algebra II, or Geometry, we invite you come.  After the Math Session, stay on for the College Information Night which starts at 6:00 pm.  This is for parents and students of all grades.

Juniors and Seniors who want to take classes @ ACC for 2nd Semester – we will have a Concurrent Enrollment meeting Thursday, October 2nd afterschool in room 102.

Club Announcements:

Model UN will meet in room 206 on Wed at 2:20pm. Students planning to participate at the Kent Denver Model UN Conference on Saturday, October 11th need to attend or see Mr. Gordon regarding country assignments.

World Club will meet in room 206 on Wednesday at 2:20pm.

There will be an FCCLA meeting this Thursday in room 120, after school.  Anyone can join us.

Attention Technology Student Association members, we will be starting event sign ups at the meeting this Thursday in the tech lab. Remember, in order to sign up for events you must first pay your $25 dollar membership fee, so bring money to the meeting. The meeting is after school in the tech lab on Thursday, Room 150 @ 2:20 pm.

There will be an informational meeting for the Summer 2015 Service Learning in Kenya trips on Monday, October 6th in the Forum between 10:30 and 11:10am. Additionally, trip information overviews are available on the World Club Bulletin Board outside the LHS Library entrance.

Halloween is barely a month away, and the literary magazine staff is planning a Halloween themed issue. If you have artwork, stories, or poems that would be appropriate, be sure and get them submitted to Mr. Kron by the beginning of next week. See the sample issue of "Inspire-Lions" on the LHS Home Page! And a reminder to the Inspire-lions staff that we meet this afternoon after school in room 112.

Sports Announcements:

All Students!  Let's come out and support our LHS football team on Friday as they take on Green Mountain High School at 4p.m. here at Littleton.  On behalf of the LHS Spirit Club we want to make this a BLACK OUT game.  So everyone wear black and come show your school spirit!  See Jackie Rivas or Jennye Jarbawi with questions.

Other Announcements:

Attention students - the Library will close at 2:30 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday this week and next week.  Please plan accordingly and sorry for the inconvenience.

Picture re-takes are scheduled for Tuesday, October 7. Students who missed picture day at the beginning of school year may stop by the theater lobby during an off period or lunch to have a picture taken. Also, students who are not happy with their first picture may bring the entire picture packet into the photographer and a new picture will be taken. Order forms may be picked up in the main office any time before picture day and should be given to the photographer at the time of pictures.

For students needing help in Math & Science Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 107.  Please use the forum entrance.

Save the date for Student/Parent/Teacher Conferences on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 14 & 15

Parents save the date! The next PTO meeting will be on October 8, at 10am. We will be introducing Sam Adams-Berger, clinical social worker for Littleton High School. She will be talking to us about helping our students manage stress during these busy high school days. We hope to see you there!

Attention Sophomores and Juniors: The PSAT test date is Wednesday, October 15th at 7:30am in the South Gym. Sign-ups conclude Friday, October 10th. Sign up in the counseling office and bring $20 (non-refundable). Space is limited so do not wait until the last minute!
