Student Recognition & Congratulations:

A big congratulations to all of the Littleton poets who performed last night at the LPS poetry slam. Despite the wintry weather we had a wonderful turnout and heard great poetry from Jessica McClosky, Morgan Donaldson, Allie Watson, Victoria Wilcox, Rose Erikson, Samantha Burke, and Elaurah Ashby. We have an extra congrats for Lucy Haggard who took third place. Way to go lions!

Other Announcements:

Juniors and Seniors who drive to school, you need to purchase a Parking Permit to avoid the $20.00 tickets.  We will start selling Parking Permits to Sophomores  until they sell out.

Student Council officers and ambassadors, please make sure you bring in your Thanksgiving Basket food item by Friday Nov. 14th!  Seniors and Juniors bring in one package of dinner rolls and sophomores and freshmen bring in one Cup of Noodles.  Put them on Ms Prestel's desk in the Social Studies office please.  Thanks!

Academic Announcements: 

Three college representatives will visit Littleton on Thursday. Colorado Mesa University will meet with students at 8:30, Arapahoe Community College will be here at 9:30, and The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising will arrive at 11.  Sign up on Naviance if you would like to attend.

Club Announcements:

The World, Model UN, and Colorado Clubs will meet at 2:20pm in Room 206 TODAY!

Key Club meets in room 211 this Thursday at 2.15 p.m.  We will be working on holiday cards and the sports equipment drive.  If you want to buy a Key Club T shirt, you must bring $12.20 (cash or check) to the meeting.  This is a firm deadline.  No money on Thursday = no T shirt.

The Role Playing Game Club is having our first video game tournament of the year this Thursday. We will play Super Smash Brothers Brawl in room 113 after school on Thursday.  If you want to play, simply show up.  See Mr. Saliman if you have any questions.

Speech and debate team members: we ARE meeting this Friday after school in the speech room.  BE THERE!

If you are still interested in participating with Unified Partners please turn your completed form into Mrs. Encinias or Mrs. Stukey in room 106 no later than TODAY!

Girl’s Lacrosse is actively looking for new players! The Heritage-Littleton girls’ lacrosse club will be holding a general information meeting on November 13th at 7pm in the Forum. Come to learn more about the program and this no-cut sport.

International Week Soccer Tournament - There will be a CO ED, 4 versus 4 soccer tournament from 3-5pm in the stadium on Wednesday, November 19, as part of International Week. Teams of 2 boys and 2 girls from any grade may participate. See coach Banfield to register your team before Friday, November 14.

Veterans Day facts:

According to 2013 statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau, there are 23.2 million veterans in the United States. Of them, 9.3 million are over the age of 65 and 1.6 million are women.  There are 39,890 veterans of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War still living.

Jayson Hayes, one of our campus supervisors, served in the United States Army from 1988 to 1992 as an anti-armor infantry specialist and Bradley gunner.  He was stationed in Kitzingen, Germany in the 1st of the 15th Infantry Battalion and at Fort Stewart, Georgia in the 2nd of the 7th Infantry Battalion.  After finishing his time on active duty, Specialist Hayes served an additional year in a reserve infantry training unit in Modesto, California.

Blog Announcements:

Coats for Colorado has come to Littleton.  Please bring in your "gently" used coats and jackets for Student Council's program to get coats to those less fortunate.  There are bins in the main lobby, main office, counseling office, library and business office.  The program goes until Nov. 28th.  Thanks!
