STUDENT BULLETIN

Congratulations and GO LIONS!

The LHS boys and girls cross country teams both took third-place in very tightly contested races at the high altitude of the Middle Park Invitational on Saturday.  Addi Iken destroyed the field, winning by a minute-and-a-half.  Magda van Leeuwen also raced into the top five.  Colin Cannon was third to pace the boys, helped by strong top-10 finishes by Christian Sapakoff and Tyler Fuller.
Don't miss the Littleton Runners Roost Invitational tomorrow at DeKoevend Park.  It's the wettest cross country meet in Colorado.  Watch your Lions splash their way to glory, with the first race beginning at 3:30.  See you there!

Special Event:

LHS at AHS. The LHS  Mane Stage Players are traveling to Arapahoe High School for their fall production of To Kill A Mockingbird. Tickets go on sale Thursday, 17 Sept during lunch and are $5 for students, $7 for adults. If you'd like to purchase tickets with a credit card, please visit us at www.lhsperformingarts.net.The show opens next week, Thursday 24 at 7pm!

College visit line up for next week is posted outside of the Counseling office and on Naviance.  Please sign up on your Naviance account to attend this meeting.  If you need a pass from class, please stop by Post Grad before the meeting.

College Information Night" will take place on Wednesday, September 30, 6:00 - 8:00pm here at school.  Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors, and their parents, will not want to miss this terrific even...you'll find it helpful and college stress relieving!

Attention Sophomores and Juniors: The PSAT test date is Wednesday, October 14th at 7:30am in the South Gym. Sign-ups will begin Tuesday, Sept. 23rd and conclude Friday, October 9th. Sign up in the counseling office and bring $20 (non-refundable). Space is limited so do not wait until the last minute!


Senior Announcements:

Tuesday, September 22nd - Mr. Stedron will offer his College Essay Workshops during both lunch periods on in the Forum.

Josten's will be here next Thursday, 9/24 from 10:30 to12:30 in the senior hall to take orders for the last time here at school. They will be able to place orders by phone or online thereafter.
September 24 & 25 – Bettinger will be in the Main Lobby to take Senior Pictures if you missed the yearbook deadline.  Please see Mrs. Fisher if you need to confirm your appointment time.

The Stride is coming!! Well, not until Sunday, October 25th, BUT there is a $5 early bird registration discount online through September 24th.  It is a fantastic school community event and many of you have participated in the past. There will be fliers in the mail room from the 25th if you would prefer to register later.  Register online at www.RunTheStride.com and please be sure to put LHS in the "I support" section!

Attention Seniors!  Applications for the highly competitive and prestigious Boettcher Scholarship are now available to any senior who wishes to apply. Scholarships recipients receive a four-year full ride scholarship to any college or university in Colorado.  Amazing!   You can find all the details at the Boettcher Scholarship Online Application website.  The deadline for your completed application package is October 1st.
