Congratulations and GO LIONS!

The JV Boys soccer team, they defeated D'Evelyn 3 to 0 yesterday!

Congratulations to the JV and Varsity teams who beat the visiting Pueblo Central Wildcats. The JV won in a three set match; 24-26, 25-12, 15-4. Varsity dominated in a 3 set sweep; 25-12, 25-18, 25-7. Junior Mallory Burbage lead the offense with 12 kills, followed by senior middle hitter Maya Sjoberg who finished the night with 9 kills. Congratulations ladies, come support the Lions as they host the Fairview Knights on Thursday.

Sports Announcements:

Don't miss the Littleton Runners Roost Invitational TODAY at DeKoevend Park.  It's the wettest cross country meet in Colorado.  Watch your Lions splash their way to glory, with the first race beginning at 3:30.  See you there!

Open gyms for girls basketball is TONIGHT from 6-8pm and on every Tuesday evening until the season begins in November!  All players interested in trying out are encouraged to attend.  We look forward to meeting new players and getting back to basketball!  See you on the court!

Club Announcements:

Ping Pong Club is CANCELLED today, September 22.

Key Club meets this week in room 2620 Thursday at 2.15.  We will be doing a service project. Please bring membership dues and permission slips if you have not already done so. Thanks!

Speech and Debate tryouts are this Friday after school in the forum.  See Mr. Saliman if you have any questions.

Special Event:

LHS at AHS. The LHS  Mane Stage Players are traveling to Arapahoe High School for their fall production of To Kill A Mockingbird. Tickets are on sale during lunch and are $5 for students, $7 for adults. If you'd like to purchase tickets with a credit card, please visit us at www.lhsperformingarts.net. The show opens Thursday, September 24 at 7pm!

College visit line up for this week is posted outside of the Counseling office and on Naviance.  Please sign up on your Naviance account to attend this meeting.  If you need a pass from class, please stop by Post Grad before the meeting.

College Information Night" will take place on Wednesday, September 30, 6:00 - 8:00pm here at school.  Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors, and their parents, will not want to miss this terrific even...you'll find it helpful and college stress relieving!

Attention Sophomores and Juniors: The PSAT test date is Wednesday, October 14th at 7:30am in the South Gym. Sign-ups will begin TODAY and conclude Friday, October 9th. Sign up in the counseling office and bring $20 (non-refundable). Space is limited so do not wait until the last minute!

Senior Announcements:

Josten's will be here Thursday from 10:30 to12:30 in the senior hall to take orders for the last time here at school. They will be able to place orders by phone or online thereafter.

September 24 & 25 – Bettinger will be in the Main Lobby to take Senior Pictures if you missed the yearbook deadline.  Please see Mrs. Fisher if you need to confirm your appointment time.

Attention Seniors!  Applications for the highly competitive and prestigious Boettcher Scholarship are now available to any senior who wishes to apply. Scholarships recipients receive a four-year full ride scholarship to any college or university in Colorado.  Amazing!   You can find all the details at the Boettcher Scholarship Online Application website.  The deadline for your completed application package is October 1st. The Stride is coming!! Well, not until Sunday, October 25th, BUT there is a $5 early bird registration discount online through September 24th.  It is a fantastic school community event and many of you have participated in the past.
