STUDENT BULLETIN

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations on the Freshman and Varsity Volleyball teams who swept the visiting Golden Demons on our home court last night! In the varsity match, Jr. Julia Jobanputra and Sr. Maya Sjoberg led the offense with 8 and 7 kills respectively. Sr. Tessa Rubenstein and Jr. Mallory Burbage served 4 aces a piece. Come see the Lions play next Thursday as they take on Valor for our Pink Match!

The JV Boys soccer team stayed unbeaten in league play with a 3 to 0 victory over Evergreen. Finn, Michael and Alexis scored goals for the Lions.

Academic Announcements:

Regional College Fair at LHS!  On Tuesday, October 20, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, LHS will host more than 40 colleges from Colorado and the surrounding area.  Meet with college representatives and receive information about academic programs, campus life, scholarships, financial aid opportunities, and much more!

Attention 11th & 12th graders who want to take classes at ACC next semester, you need to attend the Concurrent Enrollment Meeting on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 2:15 pm in room 1610.

Club Announcements:

The Model United Nations Club will meet TODAY in Room 2609 at 2:20pm.

FBLA members - mark your calendars for Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 2:20 pm.  We will be having a very important meeting to review events for the upcoming FBLA competition season.  Make sure you have your membership packet and dues in to Mrs. Martin.  We want everyone to be able to compete at the district conference!  See you on October 22!

Special Events:

This Friday show your Spirit and Support with the National Football League and the American Cancer Society, to help save more lives from cancer. Come out to see our football team play and support this amazing cause!

Starting at 5:30 in the parking lot, the Denver Broncos Alumni, Cheerleading Team and Miles the Mascot will be signing autographs and providing tailgate activities.  Prior to kick off, LHS Relay For Life teams will run a one lap relay on the track as we pass around Buckets for donations in the stands. At halftime we will celebrate with a luminary ceremony to honor loved ones who have been affected by this disease.

Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity!

You can purchase a white bag in honor of all who have been touched by cancer for $10.00 and you can decorate them with the name of your loved one.  Bags are on sale now!

Blog Announcements:

Juniors and Seniors – If you did not attend the Academic Lettering Ceremony last week, you can pick up your packet and program in the main office.

LHS PTO will again be hosting a "Paint Drop Off" for water-based paints and stains on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 10:00am to 2:00pm in the South parking lot. No charge for dropping off paint, but donations for LHS after-prom are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The Stride is Sunday, October 25th! Register online at www.RunTheStride.com and please be sure to put LHS in the "I support" section!  This is a fantastic school community event!!
