Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to the Sophomore, JV and Varsity Volleyball teams who swept Arvada 2-0, 2-0, and 3-0 last Thursday night at Arvada High School. Come support the Lady Lions this Thursday as they take on Valor High School at our Pink Night! Come dressed in Pink and support Breast Cancer Awareness.

Special Events:

Halloween O Grams on sale all this week and next!  Do you like candy?  Do you have some friends you would like to send a FUN message to?  If so, you need to buy a Halloween O Gram from a Student Council member for only $1--such a deal!  They will be on sale until Oct. 29th, so pick yours up today!

The Stride is Sunday, October 25th! Register online at www.RunTheStride.com and please be sure to put LHS in the "I support" section!  This is a fantastic school community event!!

Academic Announcements:

Regional College Fair at LHS, TOMORROW, October 20 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm! LHS will host more than 40 colleges from Colorado and the surrounding area.  Meet with college representatives and receive information about academic programs, campus life, scholarships, financial aid opportunities, and much more!

Attention 11th & 12th graders who want to take classes at ACC next semester, you need to attend the Concurrent Enrollment Meeting on Wednesday, October 21 at 2:15 pm in room 1610.
Club Announcements:

Attention all Student Council officers, ambassadors and general council members, we have a General Council meeting TODAY after school in the forum from 2:20-3pm. See you there!!

FBLA members - mark your calendars for Thursday, October 22 at 2:20 pm.  We will be having a very important meeting to review events for the upcoming FBLA competition season.  Make sure you have your membership packet and dues in to Mrs. Martin.  We want everyone to be able to compete at the district conference!  See you on Thursday, after school.

October is School Safety Month. Safe2Tell is now available on your mobile device. The Safe2Tell Colorado mobile app for reporting threatening behaviors and safety concerns in Colorado is now available for students, parents and community members on the Apple App Store for iphones/ipads and Google Play for Android devices. Please utilize this system only for very serious concerns. Check out the new Safe2Tell App for your mobile device.

Blog Announcements:

Juniors and Seniors – If you did not attend the Academic Lettering Ceremony last week, you can pick up your packet and program in the main office.

The Littleton High School Booster Club is made up of parents with a vested interest in their child’s success and the success of our athletic program.  The Booster Club can only be successful with participation both from parents and coaches. We need your help!! PLEASE support your student athlete and attend the October Booster Club Meeting this Monday, October 19th at 7:00pm in the Forum.  All team coaches and team parent representatives are expected to attend the monthly booster club meetings.  We are hoping Mondays’ meeting will include a status update on the Fall Sports season.

LHS PTO will again be hosting a "Paint Drop Off" for water-based paints and stains on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 10:00am to 2:00pm in the South parking lot. No charge for dropping off paint, but donations for LHS after-prom are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Nutrition Services is excited to announce they will be celebrating National School Lunch Week October 19 through 23, 2015.  To encourage students to participate in our meal program, we will be holding a week long raffle with prizes at each school.

How it works:  Each student that eats lunch with us on these dates will automatically be entered to win a prize from a drawing at the end of the week. Each school will receive one grand prize, as well as two runner-up prizes.

Grand Prize: Portable Bluetooth Speaker
Runner-Up Prizes: $15 iTunes Gift Card

The drawing will take place either Friday afternoon or Monday morning. Winners will be notified by the kitchen manager. Eat lunch at school!

The month of October is designated as Colorado Safe Schools Month. Littleton High School supports a safe and positive school environment. Student safety is everyone’s job.
