Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Please congratulate Bryan Cox on winning a silver medal in the Knife Cut competition at the FCCLA State Conference.

Congrats to the boys and girls track teams who finished 2nd and 3rd at the City of Littleton Championships on Friday! The following athletes were City Champions:
Noah McGhee in the 100 and 200 meter dash and 4x200 meter relay
Dominick Garcia, Devin Young and Ethan Vasquez in the 4x200m relay
Colin Cannon in the 1600m and 800m runs
David Bieber in the Shot Put
Tyler Woodard in the Discus
Brittany Line in the Shot Put
and Addi Iken in the 3200m run

Academic Announcements:

Attention Juniors and Seniors!  An admissions representative from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX will visit LHS TODAY at 9:00 am.  Please sign up on your Naviance account to attend.

Special Events:

IB SENIOR THEACO ‘16 invites you to their FINAL performance on the Mane Stage this Thursday and Friday at 7 pm - ARSENIC AND OLD LACE.  Tickets are only 5 bucks.  It's a family friendly show; bring your siblings and parents and grandparents! Enjoy the Brewster sisters and the crazy Brewster family as Mortimer discovers his aunts are poisoning old men and burying them in the cellar.

The FBLA shed-a-thon is Saturday April 9th from 9 am – noon in the cafeteria parking lot. More details can be found on the LHS website.

Club & Activity Announcements:

LHS Color Guard clinic is Thursday from 6-8 pm.  Please arrive 10 minutes early to the main lobby dressed in workout attire with a water bottle.  All equipment will be provided.
Despite their 3-8 loss to Denver East yesterday, your X Chromosomes girls' ultimate team continues to move forward. Check out your Lion Ultimate guys' team versus Heritage at Goddard tomorrow at 3:30. See you there!

Sports Announcements:

Girls Basketball Players, there will be a short meeting regarding Summer Basketball opportunities on Wednesday at 2:15 in room 1329.  This is a very important meeting all players should plan on attending which will provide info on camps, open gyms, and summer tryouts coming up in May.  Look forward to seeing you all next Wednesday!

State Assessment Information Blog: 

LHS Families, we want to provide you with updated information regarding our upcoming state assessments. We encourage you to access additional information on the Littleton Public Schools website http://www.littletonpublicschools.net/district/assessment-schedule-and-info.

Freshmen will be taking the CMAS tests in English Language Arts and in Math.  This will be an online assessment which will be given April 19-21, 2016.

Sophomores will be taking the PSAT on April 20.  This assessment will be a “pencil/paper” assessment.  This test will not qualify students for the National Merit Scholarship program.

Juniors will be taking the ACT on April 19, and they will also take CMAS Science on April 21, 2016. The ACT will be “paper/pencil”, while the CMAS will be an online assessment.  Those juniors who are using a voucher to take the ACT+ Writing on April 9 will not be taking the ACT at LHS on April 19.

Seniors will not have any state tests.
