STUDENT BULLETIN

Student Recognition & Congratulations:

The Varsity Girls soccer team defeated Golden 3-0 last night. The goal scorers were Katie Puchino, Sarah Gray and Sarah Payson. Payson also had two assists and Carlisle Maney had the other. Goalkeeper Lily Jensen had the shutout. Come and watch the girls tomorrow night in the stadium against Evergreen at 7pm.

Your Lion Ultimate guys' team had a brave battle in the brutal wind yesterday! We weren't able to pull out the win by scoring upwind and lost to Heritage, 5-6. The action continues at Goddard on Tuesday with girls playing Boulder and guys meeting Rock Canyon. See you there!

Sports Announcements:

Girls Basketball Players, there will be a short meeting TODAY at 2:15 in room 1329 regarding Summer Basketball opportunities.  This is a very important meeting all players should plan on attending which will provide info on camps, open gyms, and summer tryouts coming up in May. Look forward to seeing you all!

Club & Activity Announcements:

LHS Color Guard clinic is Thursday from 6-8pm.  Please arrive 10 minutes early to the main lobby dressed in workout attire with a water bottle.  All equipment will be provided.

Academic Announcements:

Attention Seniors:  You may begin turning in Life 101 applications starting Today after school.  All applications should be given to Mrs. Anderson in the main office.  Remember, space is limited for this seminar so don't delay.  Friday is your last day to turn in an application.  Please see Mr. Saliman, Mr. Thom or Mrs. Fisher with questions.

For students needing help in Math & Science, Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 174 .  Please use the forum entrance.

Summer School information is NOW available in the Counseling office.

Junior Escorts – we have moved the graduation meeting to Monday, April 11th at 2:30 in room 1604. If you have not given Mrs. Schaef in the Counseling office your height size, please do so ASAP.

Special Events:

IB SENIOR THEACO ‘16 invites you to their FINAL performance on the Mane Stage this Thursday and Friday at 7 pm - ARSENIC AND OLD LACE.  Tickets are only 5 bucks.  It's a family friendly show; bring your siblings and parents and grandparents! Enjoy the Brewster sisters and the crazy Brewster family as Mortimer discovers his aunts are poisoning old men and burying them in the cellar.

The FBLA shed-a-thon is Saturday April 9th from 9am – noon in the cafeteria parking lot. More details can be found on the LHS website.

Prom guest forms are available at Student services and main office, they are due April 28th.  Prom is Saturday, April 30th!

State Assessment Information Blog: 

LHS Families, we want to provide you with updated information regarding our upcoming state assessments. We encourage you to access additional information on the Littleton Public Schools website http://www.littletonpublicschools.net/district/assessment-schedule-and-info.

Freshmen will be taking the CMAS tests in English Language Arts and in Math.  This will be an online assessment which will be given April 19-21, 2016.

Sophomores will be taking the PSAT on April 20.  This assessment will be a “pencil/paper” assessment.  This test will not qualify students for the National Merit Scholarship program.

Juniors will be taking the ACT on April 19, and they will also take CMAS Science on April 21, 2016. The ACT will be “paper/pencil”, while the CMAS will be an online assessment.  Those juniors who are using a voucher to take the ACT+ Writing on April 9 will not be taking the ACT at LHS on April 19.

Seniors will not have any state tests.

We will run shortened classes following testing on April 19 – 21, 2016.    The bell schedules are below. Please note we will have two bus pick-up times each of these three mornings.
