Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations to the 10 DECA students who attended the International Career Development Conference this past weekend in Nashville Tennessee.  Special congratulations go to Callie Brewster and Alex Thompson who placed in the Top 10 in the Business Growth Plan!  It was a great finish to another successful DECA year.

Prom is a Mystery!!  And LHS has a real life Mystery to solve...someone has stolen the SPIRIT LION!! 

The Fourth/Final Prom "Who Stole the Spirit Lion Mystery" clue is:  This adult can speak another language.

Prom events:  Prom tickets are on sale during lunches out of the bookkeepers office.  They are $40 per LHS underclassmen and non-LHS guests, Seniors are FREE but make sure you bring your school ID to get into Prom!   You also can buy After Prom tickets for $15.

Make A Wish Events:  Back by popular demand... we will have Lip Sync Challenge during lunches TODAY!!  We raised over $100 on Wednesday, and there were lines of people waiting to sign up. So come to A and B lunches and we will do more Lip Syncing!

Special Events:


TODAY is the final day of ART WEEK and your last chance to buy pottery created by our Ceramics II class!  There is also a special Twitter exhibit in the main lobby. 

Last performance for the 2016 Choir Pops Concerts is TONIGHT at 7pm.  Tickets are available online at www.seatyourself.biz  and in the ticket booth during lunches and after school.  Tickets are general admission for $7.

The Dunk Tank only cost $2 per throw!  Then on Friday we have the Make A Wish Pep Assembly as well as Root Beer Floats being sold after school in lobby and cafe-3 bucks.  Finally, your classroom may be doing a Change Bucket Challenge, so check with your teachers--fun fun!!

Wear your Make A Wish shirts on Friday!  T shirts are still available for $12 if you did not pre-order one.

Congrats to the JV Track Teams who competed in the JV Championship Meet yesterday. Girls finished 7th and Boys 2nd! The following Athletes finished in the top three!  Lilly Haynes & Erika Corbitt (Shot & Discus), Tri Bui (200m Dash, 4x100 & 4x200m Relays), Thor Knutson (4x100 & 4x200m Relays), Lincoln Vitry & Cooper Weins (4x400m Relay), Ansen Yuen (4x100m, 4x200 & 4x400m Relays), Matt Norwood (4x100m & 4x200m Relays), Devon Young (Long & Triple Jump, 4x400 Relay), Matt Friedberg (Long & Triple Jump), Alex Trujillo (Shot/Discus).

The JV girls soccer team recorded their 4th consecutive shutout yesterday. Goals from Katie Roskam, Barret Small and Zoee Stombaugh lead to a win over Conifer.

Congratulations to the Girls Soccer C Team for their 2-1 win over Lakewood Yesterday.  Jenna Silverman scored both goals in a terrific team win.  Come see the team play Legend at home this Thursday at 4 pm.

Senior Announcements:

Senior Graduation Meeting - Seniors remember you have a very important meeting regarding graduation on Wednesday morning at 7:30 am in the Theater.  Please be on time!  We have important information to share with you! And then it is time for pancakes, dress-up and make-up! See you then!

Congrats to the Boys Track Team who finished 6th out of 46 schools at the Liberty Bell Track Meet this past weekend. Both Boys and Girls had some strong performances. Top 3 Finishers Include:
3rd Place:

Kaysha Kacanda (Ka-sand-a) - Triple Jump
Boys 4x800m Relay Team of Colin Cannon, Christian Sapakoph, Daniel Malek and Bruce Barstable
2nd Place:
Noah McGhee - 200m Dash
Liberty Bell Champion in the 100m Dash and Track MVP - Noah McGhee
The Track Team is at Grandview on Saturday this week! Come check us out!

The varsity girls soccer team defeated Centaurus HS 2-0 on Saturday with goals from Anna Newby and Elisabeth Sanson. Katie Puchino and Allie Famiglietti has the assists and goalkeeper Brewster had the shutout. Congratulations ladies.

Congrats to the girls JV soccer team for their 1-0 win over Centaurus on Saturday. Strong defense and a goal from Katie Roskam was the difference. Come watch the team today at 4:00 on the grass soccer field.

Bucks for no bags!  If you pop by Whole Foods Southglenn for a few things and DON'T take a bag, you can still ask for your bag credit to go to the LHS greenhouse. Love your Mother.  Think Earth Day every day.

A dime for a bag. For every bag you reuse, including produce bags, the LHS greenhouse gets 10 cents. Please, don't forget to take your reusable bags to Whole Foods Southglenn for their Bag Donation Credit Program( specify money to go to LHS).  We are the recipients through June - the change adds up.  Less waste, fewer natural resources squandered, more money for us!
