Special Events:

LAST NIGHT to come and enjoy the talents of the LHS Theater Department and their production of the comedy "Greater Tuna"!  A show about all the quirky characters who live in the 3rd smallest town in Texas.  Tuna, Texas!  The show will take place on this evening at 7 p.m.  Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for adults.  Go to www.seatyourself.biz or the box office during lunches to buy tickets.

Colorado Teen Book Con will be at Littleton High School on Saturday, October 15th.  This is an awesome all day event hosted by the Tattered Cover.  This event, open exclusively to teens, is free, but you must register! The JV boys soccer team defeated Wheat Ridge 4 to 0 yesterday. Brandon Tellez led the offense with a goal and two assists.

Your Lion Ultimate mixed team was unable to beat El Oso of Cherry Creek HS yesterday, losing 4-13. Check out the action next week as we take on Rock Canyon at Goddard on Thursday at 4:30.

Club & Activity Announcement:

Speech and Debate has a team meeting TODAY after school in the speech room.  All members must attend.  We will start promptly at 2:22.

Last day to purchase "healthy baked goods" being sold by FCCLA/Culinary Club.

National Honor Society members, you have an important meeting Monday after school in the Forum.  We will be talking about upcoming service projects, changes to the tutoring program, and more so don't miss out!

Hey, if you like the fine arts in any way, shape, or form, come to the introduction meeting for the Community Art Team Club in room 1218 on Tuesday, October 11th.  Come see what this club is all about, and keep in mind club officials are needed.  See you there!

The GSA is hosting its first movie day after school next Thursday, October 13. All of LHS is welcome to come see "CAMP!" for free in the Forum at 2:30 next Thursday. Admission is free, and snacks are available for purchase.

Every Student Needs to Visit a College Campus!  Wondering how to spend your time over October break?  Many families at LHS and across the country use school breaks to visit college campuses.  And now you can too for free!  All students are invited to participate in a visit to the University of Colorado's Denver campus on Thursday, October 20th, 9:30am-3:15pm., including lunch provided at no charge! Online sign up is on the Announcements part of  the LHS homepage.  Spaces are limited and registration closes Friday, October 14th.

Booster club will be selling apparel at the LHS Football game this Friday.  Look for us at the north concessions from 6:30pm through halftime.  We have lots of new products including sweatshirts, water bottles, beanies, baseball caps, socks, and much more. Cash & credit cards will be accepted.

Attention 11th & 12th graders who want to take classes at ACC next semester, you need to attend the Concurrent Enrollment Meeting on Thursday, October 13 at 2:15 pm in room 1610.

Attention Juniors and Sophomores:  The PSAT test date is Wednesday, October 19th at 7:00 a.m. in the South Gym. Sign-ups have begun and conclude Friday, October 14th.  Sign up in the counseling office and bring $20 (non-refundable). Space is limited so do not wait until the last minute!

Student Recognition and Congratulations:

The boys JV soccer team had a great 3 to 2 win over D'Evelyn yesterday. Jorge Aguilar scored two goals and Alex Perez had the game winning goal in the victory.

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Volleyball team who finished a 3-0 sweep over the visiting Evergreen Cougars last night at home. The Lady Lions bettered their record to a 10-2 on the season!

The Lions travel to Valor tomorrow night and play at home again next Monday. Congratulations ladies!

Student Recognition and Congratulations:

Congratulations to your LHS "Lion Pride" Marching Band who competed at the Pomona Marching Band Invitational on Saturday.  The "Lion Pride" Band qualified into the evening Finals competition and improved their score and placement finishing 11th overall out of 24 competing bands.  Go Band!!
