STUDENT BULLETIN - addition

Parent-Teacher Conferences - Littleton High School will host Parent-Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, October 18, from 4 – 7:30 pm.  There will only be one night of conferences in October.  All parents are welcome to attend conferences to meet with teachers and/or to attend the Parent Workshops.

We are approaching the half way point of the semester.  Parents we encourage you to regularly monitor your student’s progress by logging in to Infinite Campus.  If you do not have your Infinite Campus log-in information go to http://www.littletonpublicschools.net/schools/littleton-high-school/infinite-campus-family-portal.

A new aspect of Parent-Teacher Conferences this fall will be Parent Workshops.  LHS staff members along with our parent groups are excited to offer informative sessions around topics that impact you and your students.  Workshop topics this fall will include IB information, College in Colorado, Growth Mindset, How to get Involved (for parents), etc.  More detailed information will be sent out next week.

The final performance for "Greater Tuna" is tonight!  A show about all the quirky characters who live in the 3rd smallest town in Texas.  Tuna, Texas!  The show will take place at 7 p.m.  Don’t miss it!!

The Stride is on Sunday, October 30th. Can we win the $1,000 prize for the high school with the greatest participation again this year? Student Recognition and Congratulations:

The JV boys soccer team defeated Valor yesterday 6 to 0. The team is now 13 and 1 and will play for the JV league title on Tuesday.

Your Lion Ultimate mixed team got the win yesterday over Rock Canyon with an exciting 11-10 tie-breaker goal. Wish us luck as we take on the best teams in the state at the Monarch Invite this weekend.

Sports Announcements:

Come out to support our Football team on Saturday - There will be a combined JV/Freshman game at 9:00 am on the LHS grass football field.  The JV game at 11am has been cancelled.

Please join us at the Varsity Boys Soccer game on Tuesday night October 18th, 7pm, Littleton stadium.  We will be celebrating Senior Night and hoping that a victory will vault us into the playoffs.

Basketball season is only 3 weeks away, tryouts begin on November 11th. All students interested in playing boys basketball this season must attend the informational meeting next Wednesday at 2:20 p.m. in the Forum. Don't forget to make sure you're registered and cleared for the Winter Sports Season.

TODAY is the last day to sign up for PSAT test in the Counseling office.

The Swim Proficiency tests at LHS will be November 7th and November 8th at 2:30 sharp! Sign-up in the Counseling Office, space is limited to the first 30 students per session.

Online sign up is on the Announcements part of  the LHS homepage.  Spaces are limited and registration closes Friday, October 14th.

Attention Seniors applying to college!  Remember that you must have submitted your application to your college before you request to have your transcript sent.  AND your transcript needs to be ordered 10 school days before your college deadline!  That means that if your college application deadline is November 15th, you need to have submitted your application and requested your transcript by November 1st!  We want all of your materials to arrive at your colleges on time, so take note of these popular application deadlines and your LHS deadlines:

Student Recognition and Congratulations:

Congratulations to the JV and Varsity volleyball teams who swept the Standley Lake Gators last Night! The Varsity improved their record to 12-3 heading into the final two weeks of regular season play. Mallory Burbage led the offense with 18 kills as Emma Parkhurst dished out 31 assists, and Julia Jobanputra added 5 aces for the match. Congratulations ladies!

We understand that mid-week morning meetings aren't always convenient so we hope that this alternative time will enable more of our Littleton parents the opportunity to attend! The meeting will have an abbreviated agenda including an update from Dr. Oaks and time at the end for socializing with current and new families.  Please plan to attend this fun and informative night!

Student Recognition and Congratulations:

Congratulations to the Lions Cross Country team at Englewood High School’s Windjammer Invitational on Saturday! Addi Iken won the Girls Varsity race with a smoking fast 18:44. In the Boys Varsity race, Christian Sapakoff, Tyler Ervin, Bruce Barnstable, Ethan Ogden, Christian Olsen, Colin McCormick and Charlie Meserve combined for a seventh place finish in a very competitive field of 25 teams representing 5A, out-of-state, regional foe and mountain schools. Even better, many of our team members ran their personal or season best times! Just the right way for the Littleton Lions Cross Country team to enter the championship part of the season.

Next up for the Lion harriers is our League Meet at Clement Park on Thursday, October 13. The first race is at 3:00 p.m. Come cheer the team on!

Every Student Needs to Visit a College Campus!  Wondering how to spend your time over October break?  Many, many families at LHS and across the country use school breaks to visit college campuses.  And now you can too!  We're offering a fun, informative and free comprehensive college campus visit to the University of Colorado's Denver campus on Thursday, October 20th, 9:30am-3:15pm...including lunch provided at no charge!  LHS classes will not be in session that day.  Students will meet at school at 9:15m in The Forum, take an LPS school bus to the Auraria Campus (downtown Denver), visit CU-Denver's brand new Visitor Center for a top-notch Information Session and then take an in depth tour of the amazing facilities on campus. We plan to return back to school at approximately 3:15pm. Visit the LHS homepage scroller to find a link for online registration. Registration will close October 14th.

For students needing help in Math & Science, Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-7:30pm in room 1740.  Please use the forum entrance.
