Student Recognition and Congratulations:

The Unified Basketball team had a great tourney yesterday, finishing 3rd out of 31 schools!  Next up is a home game Monday, Jan. 23rd at 7pm.  Our theme is 80's night.  Come have an 80's party with us Monday night.

Clubs and Activities:

Attention NHS members! This week we are sponsoring a collection drive for families in need! We will be collecting bottles, diapers, or any lightly used toys (see full list of everything that can be collected posted around school and on the NHS Facebook page). Collection boxes will be in the counseling office and in the LA/Math office. Bring 2-3 items to fulfill the service project requirement.

Hey Littleton High School! NHS will be sponsoring a blood drive on Thursday, February 2nd and Friday, February 3rd here at LHS. Students under 18 will need a signed parental consent form. There are only 40 slots available each day, so please see Mr. Hahn or Ms. Fritz with questions and to sign up to donate on an off hour!

Academics:

Seniors,If you applied for college first semester, please be advised that your mid-year transcripts will automatically be sent to your college’s starting later this week.

Time is running out to purchase a yearbook!  The deadline to pre-order a yearbook is Friday, January 27!  We will have a limited number of books for sale at the end of the year but they are on a first-come, first served basis and we may run out.  If you want to guarantee that you get a yearbook, it is highly recommended that your pre-order by January 27.

Littleton High School's STEM Certificate Program will host our third annual "Hour of Code" event Wednesday, January 25th right after school in the LHS cafeteria any time between 2:30-4:30pm.  All LPS students and prospective LPS students,  staff and family members are welcome to join us for a chance to prove to yourself that YOU, yes YOU can write a genuine piece of computer code in about an hour.

Bring your laptop or Chromebook and headphones...We'll have food, music, laptops if you need to borrow one and everything you'll need to give this a try. For inspiration and to learn why  you want to come, watch this super super short video that will convince you that everyone needs to know about coding.  Online registration is now open.

Student Recognition and Congratulations:

Congratulations to our entire girls basketball program who swept conference rival D'Evelyn last night.  With the win our C Team is now 10-1, our JV 8-2, and our varsity moves to 10-4.  Our varsity Lions defeated the #6 Jaguars by a score of 43-42.  Senior Maddie Fuchs led the scoring with 10 and junior Bekah Sandstrom pulled down 18 rebounds.  Great job Lions

How do you know what you should eat when to perform your best on the field and in the classroom? Join us for a nutrition presentation about properly fueling the high school athlete on Mon., Jan. 30 at 6:30 p.m. in the Forum. $5 at the door for individuals, $10 for families. Proceeds benefit LHS Cross Country.

Clubs and Activities:

Our speech and debate team traveled to George Washington High School over the weekend.  We had a successful tournament, a number of students received excellent and outstanding mentions, but we were lead the way by Julia Valdez, who placed second in Poetry, Sam Burke, who placed 6th in Poetry and 3rd in Program Oral Interp, and Kelly Steinberg, who placed 3rd in Drama and 2nd in Humor.  Great job, team.

There is a PEAS club meeting today (Tuesday the 17th) after school in  the greenhouse.
