Clubs and Activities:

Attention all Student Council officers, ambassadors and general council members, we have a General Council meeting on Monday Jan. 30th.  This is our FIRST one of the year, so we have a lot to talk about; please be there!  It starts at 2:20 in the forum.

Attention freshmen, sophomores and juniors: Do you want to be part of
covering LHS in the newspaper and yearbook next year? Publications
wants you! Applications are now available from Miss Kron, Mrs. Fisher
or your language arts teacher. They are due February 1. If you have
questions, see Miss Kron or Mrs. Fisher.

Hey Littleton High School! NHS will be sponsoring a blood drive on Thursday, February 2nd and Friday, February 3rd here at LHS. Students under 18 will need a signed parental consent form. There are only 40 slots available each day, so please see Mr. Hahn or Ms. Fritz with questions and to sign up to donate on an off hour!

Special Events:

A HUGE THANKS goes out to all of the students and staff who donated Coats for the Veterans organization--we had over 150 coats donated!!!  WOW--that is so generous!  Also, a HUGE THANKS goes out to those folks who took a snowflake off of the Giving Snowman for Musana; we had 5 1/2  boxes of presents PLUS an entire trash bag full of soccer, basket and volley balls...WAY TO GO!  The kids over in Uganda will love all of your gifts!

Academics:

Attention - current 10th & 11th graders that want to take classes at Arapahoe Community College next year need to attend the Concurrent Enrollment/ACTS Meeting on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 2:15 p.m. in Room 1610

Sports:

Attention all football players or anyone interested in playing football next fall, we will have a short 15 minute meeting next Wednesday, February 1st from 2:20-2:35 pm in the Health room.

Come join the Boy's Swim & Dive team this year!  We have our preseason meeting this coming Monday, January 30th at 5:30 pm in the Health Room (Room 1329).  Come meet your teammates and coaching staff!

The next Unified Basketball game is Monday Jan. 30th at 7pm.  Our theme for this week is Beach Party.  Surf's Up!

We will be collecting bottles, diapers, or any lightly used toys (see full list of everything that can be collected posted around school and on the NHS Facebook page). Collection boxes will be in the counseling office and in the LA/Math office. Bring 2-3 items to fulfill the service project requirement.

Attention students needing help with Math or Science - Lockheed Martin Tutoring will resume next week.  Lockheed Martin Engineers come every Wednesday and Thursday evening from 6:00-7:30pm to tutor our students.  This is a free and amazing service they provide.  Tutoring is in room 1740, please use the Forum entrance.

Attention Seniors!  Post Grad is receiving new scholarship opportunities every day.  Check the bulletin board in the Language Arts hallway outside of Post Grad often.
Transcripts!  Attention Seniors applying to college!  Remember that your transcript needs to be ordered 10 school days before your college deadline!  We want all of your materials to arrive at your colleges on time, so take note of these popular application deadlines and your LHS deadlines:

Student Recognition and Congratulations:

Congratulations to our varsity girls basketball team who took down the 2 time defending state champion Valor Eagles last night, (43-36) on Valor’s home floor!  Our #10 ranked Lions are now 12-4 on the season!  Special thanks to all the LHS students and parents who came out to Valor and made it feel like a home game.  You helped lead the comeback!  Please come out and support our Lions this Friday night as they take on Standley Lake here at LHS!"

There will be a girls tennis meeting on January 31st at 2:25 in room 1219 for all girls interested in going out for girl's tennis.

Third Annual "Hour of Code"
Littleton High School's STEM Certificate Program will host our third annual "Hour of Code" event Today, January 25th right after school in the LHS cafeteria between 2:30-4:30pm.  All LPS students, staff and family members are welcome to join us for a chance to prove to yourself that YOU, yes YOU can write a genuine piece of computer code in about an hour. A link to the online sign up is in the Announcements section of the LHS homepage. FREE Chipotle snacks for those who complete their hour.

Our Varsity girls basketball team entered the Denver Post's top 10 yesterday and tonight they take on the #9 Valor Eagles.  We need your help to come out to Valor HS this evening and cheer on our Lions!  Let's bring a crowd down the road (just a 10 minute drive from LHS) and support our team!  Hope to see you there! JV plays at 5:30 and Varsity at 7:00"

Join us for Nutrition 101 on Monday, January 30 at 6:30 p.m. in the Forum to learn about what kinds of food you need when so that you can perform at your best on the field and in the classroom. All LHS student-athletes and their families are invited to attend. $5 for students, $10 for families cash or check at the door. Contact Coach Ayers or Coach Graef with questions.
