STUDENT BULLETIN:

This week we celebrate classified employees week. Each day we will take a minute to highlight a particular group. Today we start with our Maintenance workers and custodians. Did you know we have nine staff members who work to keep the building operating? Mark, Richard, and Lourdes come in early in the morning to make sure everything is ready to go. The night crew is here until 12:00AM every night cleaning classrooms, restrooms and everywhere else. During the summer they take all desks and furniture out of every classroom to properly finish floors. It is not easy to keep a building that opened in 1957 as neat and tidy as they do. We appreciate our LHS custodians and maintenance workers. If you see them please thank them for their hard work.

If you are 16,17, or 18, listen up! The Colorado Democracy Challenge - a nonpartisan voter registration drive - is here today and tomorrow to register and pre-register students to vote! You can pre-register if you are 16 or 17. This way you will be set and ready to vote when you turn 18. If you are 18, you can register to vote. Be sure to bring an ID issued by the state of Colorado or the last 4 digits of your social security number. Also, know the county in which you live. Registration will take about 10 minutes and will be done in the front lobby both days.
