Student Recognition & Congratulations:
A special thank you goes out to the LHS Lion Pride Marching band, the LHS Cheer squad and the Poms for their participation in the Western Welcome Week Parade held last Saturday and an extra thank you to the LHS Lion football team, who were dressed in their uniforms and cheering along the sidelines! Way to go, LIONS!

Attention all Student Council officers and students who want to join the most amazing club at LHS! We have a General Council meeting today at 2:20pm in the forum. Hope to see you there!
LHS has a Frisbee Club which is also an Ultimate team that competes with other schools. Come down to the grass practice field today to check it out, or stop by art room 143 tomorrow after school to get more info.
The Peace Jam Club will meet in Room 206 today from 2:20 to 2:50. All are welcome, especially those who are interested in international and leadership issues.
Attention all students. Ping Pong club will be having an interest and information meeting tomorrow at 2:30 in room 121. Anyone who is interested please attend, the future of the club hangs in the balance. See Mr. Marchetti for details.
The first FBLA meeting of the year will be this Thursday, August 25th at 2:20 pm in Room 124. Come to see what FBLA is about, meet the officers and enjoy an afternoon treat! All are welcome!
Ice Cream, Ice Cream, we all scream for ice cream! Head out to the courtyard on Friday August 26th during lunches to sign up for a club and you will get to play a fun carnival game AND get FREE ice cream courtesy of Student Council!! See you there!

Attention Girl Soccer Players. Any girls interested in playing soccer for LHS in the spring, should attend a short meeting on Thursday, August 25, at 2.15 in Room 133E. You will receive information on the season, a 4v4 competition, and key dates for the coming months. If you are unable to attend, please see coach Banfield to collect the papers. See you on Thursday!
