STUDENT BULLETIN

Congratulations and GO LIONS!:

Our own Galen Kaufman will be singing the National TONIGHT at the Colorado Rockies baseball game.  He is the first employee of the Colorado Rockies organization to have successfully auditioned for this opportunity.  Congratulations Galen!

Academic Announcements:

Back by popular demand!  Mr. Stedron will once again offer his College Essay Workshops during both lunch periods on Tuesday, September 22nd in the Forum.  Seniors who need to write a personal statement or essay for at least one of your college applications will not want to miss this.  Mr. Stedron provides straightforward direction for attacking this often difficult, intimidating piece of writing.  See you there!

Stressed about college?  Visit the Post Grad Center's webpage, located on the LHS website under the Counseling tab.  You'll find worlds of information and resources which will help take your blood pressure down!

Club Announcements:

Attention all Student Council officers and ambassadors as well as anyone who wants to join Student Council, we have a general council meeting TODAY in the forum at 2:20PM.

FBLA meets this Thursday, September 3rd at 2:20 pm in room 1976.  Bring completed membership packets and dues.  Information about upcoming events will be shared!  See you then!

FCCLA will have our second meeting of the year Thursday (9/3), after school, in room 1972 (Culinary room). Be sure to get your officer team application in; we will be having elections that day.

Sports Announcements:

Open gyms for girls basketball begin this Tuesday night from 6-8pm and continue on Tuesdays until the season begins in November.  All players interested in trying out are encouraged to attend.  We look forward to meeting new players and getting back to basketball!  See you on the court!

Students who ride the bus - the September RTD student bus passes are $39.50 for the month and available for purchase through the bookkeeper.

Bookkeeper's window is closed from 7:30-9:30am each day.

Volunteers Needed!!  The LHS Library will be conducting an Inventory beginning Thursday, September 10 at 9AM. Parent volunteers are needed to help with this activity over the course of the inventory. If you are interested in helping, please contact Lou Mednick or Marion Rubey at 347-7749 for more information.

Picture Retakes will be on Tuesday, October 6th.
