STUDENT BULLETIN

Things you should know:
Tomorrow/Wednesday – Will be an EIGHT period day (classes 1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8)

Freshman & Sophomores should have received their student planners on Friday in their Language Arts class.  Upperclassmen can purchase planners for $5 from the bookkeeper.

Parking Permits – please have the completed form and proper documentation to pick up or purchase your parking permit from the bookkeeper.  You must have a parking permit to park at LHS and students can only park in designated student parking areas or you will be ticketed.

Students if you pre-purchase school supplies through DECA and have not picked up your supplies, please go to the DECA store or see Mr. David Decker.

Picture Day is Wednesday, 8/19.  All students will take a picture for their student ID.  Order form is on-line or can be picked up in the office areas.

Club Announcements:

The Model United Nations Club will meet in room 2609 at 2:20 pm this Wednesday. Any students who are interested in learning about the work of the United Nations and participating in Model United Nations Conferences in both Colorado and Canada this year are encouraged to attend. Additionally, anyone (staff and students) who is interested in discussing plans for International Education Week this November is encouraged to attend.

FCCLA will be having the first meeting of the year this Thursday, right after school, in room 1972 (the culinary room). All are welcome to join!

Technology Student Association otherwise known as TSA is having their first meeting of the year this Thursday. We will meet in the tech lab room 0215 formerly room 150. Please come join us to learn what this exciting club has to offer. If you consider yourself a techie, then we need you but if you consider yourself not a techie, we need you too! See you Thursday at 2:20 pm

Special Events:

The LHS Mane Stage will be producing their fall show on the Arapahoe Stage on September 24 – 26.  Auditions for “To Kill a Mockingbird” will be held at AHS on August 24th.  If you are interested in being involved in this show as an actor or technician, please attend the info meeting this Tuesday, August 18th after school in room 146.

Academic Announcements:

Students – do you have a computer? If you do not have a computer at home, we have free computers for you. These are refurbished desktop computers, not laptops. They use the XP operating system and are loaded with Open Office; please see Mr. Hahn in the counseling office to receive a voucher for a free computer and/or more information.

Blog Announcements:

Save the Date – Back to School night is Wednesday, August 26, 2015.  The evening will start at 6:00pm in the North Gym.  Parents will follow their students schedule so please bring a copy of the schedule of have access to it on your mobile device.  More details are available on the main page of the website.

Hi Littleton Parents!  Please join us for this year's PTO Back-to-School Party for parents ... A super fun evening is planned at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Aspen Grove on Wednesday, September 2, from 6-9 p.m. It's a chance for LHS parents to re-connect after three months of summer break, and a time to catch up with Dr. Oaks and learn about all the new improvements to the school.   Tickets are $25/person, and include your movie ticket and appetizers. All proceeds will benefit 2016 After-Prom. Cocktails will be available at the cash bar, or you can order something during the movie.  Seating/tickets are limited.
