STUDENT BULLETIN
Attention STEM students- If you signed up for our red rocks field trip on Thursday, please get your permission slip returned to Mrs. Bartlett-Mogg today.

Attention Juniors and Sophomores- The PSAT test date is Wednesday, October 16th at 8:00 a.m. in the South Gym. Registration will begin today, September 23rd and conclude Friday, October 11th. Sign up in the counseling office and bring $20 (non-refundable). Space is limited, so do not wait until the last minute!

There will be a College Essay Workshop on Thursday, September 26, 2019, during A and B lunch in the Forum, hosted by Mrs. Nancy Sharp. Senior students will not want to miss out, and Junior students are welcome to attend. 

Juniors and Seniors – College Admission Representatives from the following schools will be at LHS this week: CU-Boulder, Arizona State, Univ. of Arizona, Univ. of Tennessee, Univ. of CA-Santa Cruz, CU-Denver, Hawaii Pacific University, and Colorado State University. Please log onto you Naviance accounts. Go to the “What’s New” section on the home page and click on the specific school you would like to meet with.  You may get a pass to be excused from class from Counseling or Post Grad.

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The Ultimate Frisbee team won their second game of the season against Centaurus High School. The score was 11-6 — shoutout to Owen Justice for amazing blocks during the game.

If you are interested in wrestling this winter sports season, there will be two interest meetings this Thursday, September 26th, and Friday, September 27th. They will both be at 8:00 AM before the first bell in the Forum. You only need to attend one of the two meetings if you are interested.

BLOG ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Once again, the online application for the highly competitive and prestigious Boettcher Scholarship is now open, with an 11:59 pm November 1st deadline. If you're interested in finding out more, go to BoettcherFoundationOnline.org. Please read the information at that link very carefully. There is an abundance of information about the steps required as well as tips on how to make your application strong. The application process is somewhat lengthy, and the requirements are quite specific. Don't delay in beginning the process. Please stop by Post Grad and speak to Ms. Reimers if you have questions. Also, please email Ms. Reimers if you plan to apply for the Boettcher.
