CONGRATULATIONS:
On Friday and Saturday, our speech and debate team competed at their state qualifying tournament at Thomas Jefferson High School. Coach Saliman and Coach De La Torre couldn't be more proud of this team, and everyone's hard work paid off and then some. We had 25 students compete, and 12 qualify for state. Those qualifiers are: Rebecca Zickerman - Oratory, Elianajoy Volin - Poetry, Virginia Frau - Program of Oral Inter, Maddie Engeman - Informative, Maggie Higgins and KC Lynch - Duo, Addie Bouck & Ivy Secrest - Public Forum Debate, Nick Hopper - Lincoln Douglas Debate, Hayley Hamilton - Lincoln Douglas Debate, and Ally Procopio and Kate Lurie were chosen to compete in Congressional Debate. Lane Greenly and Grady Redding were also named alternates to state in their events. Great job to the entire team, and congratulations to those advancing to state!
