CONGRATULATIONS:
Future Business Leaders of America, or FBLA, had 29 students compete in their virtual District Leadership Conference. Students competed in events ranging from presentations, demonstrations, speeches, and tests. Littleton FBLA placed 1st in 11 events, 2nd Place in 7 events, and 3rd Place in 7 events. Congratulations to all of our State Leadership Conference qualifiers.

The force was strong with the LHS Speech and Debate team on Saturday. The team competed at the Mandalorian Invitational Tournament at Discovery Canyon for a Star Wars themed tournament. Bella Houck placed 7th in Drama, Grady Redding placed 5th in Informative Speaking, KC Lynch and Grace Amine placed 3rd in Duo Interp, and Lane Greenly placed 5th in Poetry. Eliana Joy Volin and Deanna Sokol each earned the rank of Jedi Master as they were awarded tournament champions in their events. Deanna was 1st in Storytelling, and Eliana Joy placed 1st in Poetry, a two- week streak! We have spoken!

Seniors: Post Grad has recently received new scholarships, and some have paper forms, such as the PEO and Daughters of the American Revolution Scholarships. Stop by the Post Grad Office if interested!

Attention Juniors (and their parents): You are invited to join the Post Grad Google Classroom (Code to join = Inu5atu), where information is regularly posted in regards to college planning, virtual college fairs & visits, financial aid info, scholarship announcements, and so much more!

Junior Advisement has been postponed to Wednesday, March 3, and Wednesday, March 10. Individual Junior planning meetings will follow! Be on the lookout for information about how to sign up using SignUp Genius.

Are you interested in being a pilot? Multiple fight training scholarships are available through the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). The deadline to apply is 2/14. For more details, visit https://www.aopa.org/training-and-safety/students/flight-training-scholarships

Attention next year’s juniors and seniors: Registration is open for ACTS classes for next fall. Please see your counselor if you are interested in these programs. ACTS classes include Cosmetology, Health Sciences, Auto Tech, Teacher Cadet, Aviation, Fire Science and Commercial Photography, among others. Space is limited for each class, please see your counselor ASAP.

Auditions for the School Musical! This year we will be performing the 25th annual Putnam County Spelling Bee! We are asking everyone auditioning to submit a video audition and form by this Thursday, February 11th. Students wishing to participate need to join the Thespian Google Classroom, code ahrjue6 in order to turn in their audition. Callbacks will take place in person after school On Tuesday, February 16th. See Ms. L or Ms. Taylor for more information.

Attention Lions! Do you have your class tee-shirt and mask yet? Class spirit days are Thursday and Friday, make sure you have your LHS Gear to wear! Go to the Lobby during lunches this week to get your shirt and mask, $5 each. Don't wait any longer!

Attention Seniors: Class of 2021 Yard Signs are available for you to pick up at lunch or after school at the main entrance on February 9, 11, and 12. This a gift from PTO. Please remember to grab a sign during your in-person learning day.
