CONGRATULATIONS:
LHS Varsity GSOC started the second week of their season with a win against Alameda International. Last week saw two competitive matches against Evergreen (Ranked #1 in CO) and D’Evelyn (Ranked #3 in CO). Both very tough conference matchups to begin the season. Player of the Match (POM) for Evergreen was junior goalkeeper Beth Krankota with 10+ saves which followed a 5 save match against D’Evelyn. POM for the D’Evelyn match was senior captain Avery Bergschneider whose work ethic was unmatched along with one shot. POM for the Alameda International match was junior Tinley Enzminger with seven shots on goal, three goals and several well served corner kicks. A shout out to LHS Varsity GSOC’s two freshmen who scored their first Varsity GSOC goals against Alameda International: Anika Bagal (1) and Isa Roth (1). Other goal scorers for the week include: junior Morgan Kelly (2); junior Aden Becker (2).
GSOC Varsity finishes out the week with Conifer away at Lakewood Memorial Field on Wednesday and Englewood away at Englewood HS on Saturday.
GSOC JV plays Chatfield HS away on Thursday and Englewood HS away on Saturday prior to the Varsity match.
