CONGRATULATIONS:
Congratulations to our Varsity and JV Boys Soccer teams, who continued their winning streak with awesome victories last night against Englewood HS! Varsity won 6-1 with goals from Townes Uhl, Oli Garnica, Roman Chojnacki, Tony Fahn, and two goals from Edy Jimenez to celebrate his birthday. JV won 4-0 with two goals from Elan Brown and one each from Reilly Reddy and Joey LaScola. Next up are games against Golden and Dakota Ridge next week!

Congratulations to the JV and Varsity Volleyball teams for pulling off a well fought win against George Washington High School! Great job ladies!

Yesterday the boy's golf team competed in their final Jeffco League tournament of the season. The team finished in 2nd place, the same as their final League standings. The team had 3 players finish in the top 10 at yesterday's tournament; seniors Emmett Loomis and Grant Toner, as well as junior Noah Abramson. Good job, boys, and good luck Monday at Regionals!

ACADEMICS:
Any junior or senior who was invited to apply to NHS, please remember that completed applications and $20.00 are due in the counseling office by 3:00 pm Friday, September 17th. See Mr. Puchino or Ms. A-B with questions or concerns.

Attention Juniors and Sophomores-The PSAT test date is Wednesday, October 13th at 7:45 a.m. in the South Gym. Sign-ups will begin Monday, September 20th for juniors, Monday, September 27th for Sophomores, and conclude Friday, October 8th. Sign up in the counseling office and bring $20 (non-refundable). Space is limited, so don’t wait until the last minute!

Seniors - please sign up for your 1:1 meeting with Post Grad if you have not done so already. Meetings will run through the end of September. Please take advantage of this opportunity to get the resources you need to plan for your future!

Staff Sergeant Hittle, a recruiter from the Marines, will be visiting LHS during lunch on Tuesday 9/21.

College Rep Visits begin this week! There are dozens and dozens of college reps who are eager to meet with YOU! These are great opportunities to learn about your favorite schools and also show demonstrated interest. Please register on Naviance and get a pass from the Post Grad Office. A full list of visits is posted outside of both the Post Grad Office and Cafeteria.


SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Join the Volleyball Teams at their next home game for Homecoming against Englewood, Tuesday the 21st! Level 3 at 4:30, JV at 5:30, and Varsity at 6:30. Come show your spirit and wear all white for our white out game! Wear all white, and you could win an amazing prize between the second and third set of the Varsity game. See you there!

CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Lip Sync Battle-Get ready to battle! The Student Council is hosting a Lip Sync Battle. Auditions will be held tomorrow, September 16, and Friday, September 17, after school in the choir room. Sign-ups are on the student council boards in the Language Arts hallway. You will perform at the Homecoming Pep Rally, and the winner will perform at Lions Follies. So grab a group of friends and select a 90-second song that is school appropriate.

Sources of Strength will meet tomorrow, the 16th. We will be in room 1219, and you have two choices: 7:45 am or 3:35 pm. Everyone who was invited or signed up at the club fair or just wants to join on their own is welcome! See you there!

LHS DECA, where 'these Lions mean Business,' has extended its club registration date to Friday, September 17. So, look out for DECA registration posters in the hallways or swing by room 1976 to talk to Mr. Sweeney about becoming a DECA member.

MOCK TRIAL - Our 2nd club meeting will occur on Friday at 7:30 on the front lawn. All are welcome to join. Google Classroom code is: da4xuik

Calling all GT students with ALPs, come to the forum on Friday during A or B lunch to meet your support team, get some pizza, and write your ALP goals. See you Friday!

Hey Lions! Interested in getting more involved in the school community? Student Council needs your help! We would love some help on our upcoming Homecoming Activities, including set up and take down, helping with spirit days, and tons of other fun activities! See Mrs. Gobble or Mrs. Shew or any of your student body representatives for more information.

If you would like to donate to the Key Club drive for Integrated Family Services, please drop off shampoo, conditioner, soap, body wash, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and toilet paper in the box located to the left of the attendance office. All donations will be distributed to local families at the LHS Community Resource Fair this Saturday. Thank you!

STUDENT BULLETIN:
Class T-shirts are on sale all week in the front lobby before school and during all lunches. Bring $5 and stop by and grab your shirt! Class masks will also be available for $5 if you would like to purchase one as well. The pep rally is next Friday, and we want to see as many students as we can wearing their class shirts! Come show your spirit!
