CONGRATULATIONS:
Congratulations to the Lions Boys Soccer teams who won their first league games on Saturday, defeating Evergreen 4-2 in the Varsity match and 1-0 in the JV match. Devin Shepherd was the first player to put the ball in the back of the net for Varsity, followed by great goals from Roman Chojnacki, Townes Uhl, and Oli Garnica! And Johan Zamora scored the game-winning goal for JV! Their next game is this Tuesday night against Englewood HS at the LPS Stadium...JV kicks off at 4:15, followed by Varsity at 6:00. Come out and cheer on our Lions as they continue their winning streak!

Congratulations to our Girls Varsity Cross Country team! They won the Harrison Panther Invitational last Friday, besting runner-up and regional rival Coronado by some 20 points! The race featured textbook running by our girls, including an amazing pack finish with Anika Bagal in 8th, McAllister Stewart in 9th, Sydney Sheldon in 10th, Scarlett Montoya in 12th, and Tatum Pratt in 13th. Catherine May rounded out the

varsity squad. The Open Girls also had an outstanding day, with four runners placing in the top 10, including Holly Burns, who won the race, followed by Sophia Sheldon in 2nd, Sam Denman in 3rd, and Catherine Dutmer in 6th. Way to go, ladies!

The Lions Boys Cross Country team had an excellent showing at the Harrison Panther Invitational finishing third. Senior Grady Redding ended up 6th overall and led for the Boys Varsity. Dan Lamey, Sawyer Gannon, Luke Suro, Reese Gosling, Kaiden Hamilton, and Cameron Graham all contributed to the effort and demonstrated some solid pack running throughout on a tough course. In the Boys Open race, Senior Trevor Metz ran a patient race finishing 4th overall. The team heads to Kent Denver over the weekend for the Sun Runner Invitational. Good luck, guys!
