CONGRATULATIONS:
Yesterday was a big day for our Lions Boys Soccer teams as they both defeated their opponents 10-0! In the Varsity match against Alameda, Devin Shepherd was the leading scorer with FOUR goals in the back of the net! Chase Shepherd, Tony Fahn, Townes Uhl, Miguel Schlote, and Caden Ellis also had goals to solidify the mercy-rule win for the Lions. In the JV win against Thornton, goals were scored by Alfredo Baltazar, Joey LaScola, Johan Zamora, Sebastien Pulai, Disan Tenorio, Jared Gonzalez, and Sam Miller. Congratulations, boys, and good luck in your away games against Wheat Ridge on Wednesday!

ACADEMICS:
Attention Juniors and Sophomores: The PSAT test date is Wednesday, October 13th at 7:45 a.m. in the South Gym. Sign-ups will begin Monday, September 20th for juniors, Monday, September 27th for Sophomores and conclude Friday, October 8th. Sign up in the counseling office and bring $20 (non-refundable). Space is limited so don’t wait until the last minute!

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Join your volleyball teams tonight as they take on the Conifer Lobos, Level 3 and 4 at 4:30, JV at 5:30, and Varsity at 6:30. During the Varsity game, try your luck and throw a duck for a prize!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support LHS sports at the Flyin’ Lion on Sunday! While the numbers are still being tallied, nearly half of the sports offered here earned money through entries. Our own Reese Gosling won for the Men, and McAllister Stewart won for the Women. Sydney Sheldon was Queen of the Hill. Thanks to teachers Nordyka Pulai, Becky Shaw, and Sean Sweeney, as well as head coaches Jeff Bell, Chad Koepke, DeAnna Koepke, and Sydney Ayers, for coming out!

CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Key Club will meet in room 2620 at 7.45 a.m. on Thursday, October 7th. Please bring an old T-shirt that you can cut up to make a dog toy for the Dumb Friends League.

Hey Lions! Registration for the annual LPS Stride 5k is now open! Join us on Sunday, October 24th, for this fantastic community event, and help us win $1,000 for our PE department in the process! Littleton High School has won the participation contest every year for a long time (no big deal...), and we hope to do it again this year! Visit www.runthestride.com to sign up.
