Well done to the volleyball program for taking down the Commanders of JFK! C-teams Macey King, again, had amazing serves. She also made quick decisions and point-saving plays. Maggie Valentine led her JV team as the libero and commanded the back row with smart passing and quick defense! Varsity’s Jolene Jones assisted with some amazing kills through the game as well as achieving the team goal of at least 5 aces! The next game is Friday at North high school.
Congratulations to the boy's tennis team who won their 2nd match in a row by sweeping Alameda 7-0 yesterday. Next up is an away match vs. D'Evelyn tomorrow at 3:30.
The Lady Lions Cross Country team brought its A-game to the Arapahoe Warrior Invite this past week! The Varsity squad finished 19th overall and 2nd against 4A teams. Tatum Pratt, Sydney Sheldon, and Sam Denman led the Varsity girls. In the Freshman/Sophomore race, the girls finished 16th with outstanding runs by sophomores Maren Moore, Nora Tholen, and Grace Foresman. In the Girls Open race, our squad was 6th led by Scarlett Montoya, Colletta Schiller, and Catherine May. Congrats to all!
Nice work Boys Cross Country! The Varsity was 16th overall and 1st among 4A teams. Sawyer Gannon led for the Varsity with Kaden Pullar, Luke Suro, Reese Gosling, Cameron Graham, Hank Chojnacki (Ho-No-Ski), and Andrew Macedo rounding out the squad. Quinn Morgan had a terrific run in the Boys Freshman/Sophomore race and represented the Lions well. Lars Romine, Lucas Sjoberg, and Nick Fisher were outstanding in the Boys Open race running hard all the way through the finish line. Go Lions!

Teams of 6-12 people play the roles of attorneys and witnesses and then argue a fictional case in front of a real Colorado judge. LHS Wrestling is starting their preseason workouts on Sept 1st. Workouts will be on Mon, Thurs, and Fri from 4:15pm-6:15pm in the wrestling room. No experience needed and any student can attend.
